Visited early November 2025. Owing to that experience which was really positive we booked a table for 7 for later that month. We were welcomed in, but things became very chaotic after that. Staff seemed chaotic, loud, and disorganized. A trainee was trying to be inducted, which really didn't work as there were not enough staff available to support this. Only one running the show really. Wine selection very depleted. On asking for 2 different rose wines none were available. The food was really tasty, portions small for the price. Not quite sure what has changed here from early November, but something really big has changed. Won't visit again.

What a “Little Gem” of a place for a Good pub meal. I went here last night for a nice pub meal with my wife and son. We had booked our table earlier on that evening, when we arrived we were greeted by two bar staff with “Big smiles” and shown to our table. The table was clean and tidy and the dining room was about half full. We ordered our food and it came out fleshly cooked a short time later, everything was cooked correctly and tasted lovely. So to sum up the Pub, Lovely helpful staff, Lots of Free parking, Clean tables and cutely, Spotless toilets which are always a really good sign and tasty Pub grub all for a fair price. We will be returning shortly to this little lovely Pub again.

Great food and beer. Well done Chef and team! Excellent fish pie and liver and bacon. Staff very efficient, friendly and attentive. Definitely a favourite when in area again.

Can be good, but before ordering steak be aware that they tend to undercook. I ordered a medium rare filet which first came out well done and then very rare. I was met with resistance when trying to send the second steak back so I asked them to probe it - it was under 40 deg C. Still they insisted this was a perfect medium rare for the ‘french way’ they cook it and demanded that I pay half for it after choosing to order something else. We had a discussion, and I didn’t, but it has made me think twice about going back.

Lovely pub with great food and staff. We semi-regularly drop by whilst travelling (appropriately!) from Sussex to the South West and back and every time it's been a pleasure. There's a nice outside seating area, with a covered bit and a pretty secluded courtyard round the back. Beer is good, and the food is really good. Decent portions and very tasty. Recommend the local pies! Even our dog got a couple of treats last time. Staff very friendly and helpful, service very quick.

Was fortunate enough to camp near this lovely pub. Nice indoor and outdoor, dog friendly. Lots of different beers, ales and wines. Food, well well, a large menu which did not disappoint. Starter of S&P Squid and Halloumi, both came with sweet chilli sauce, lovely. Our main consisted of 1 from the menu and 1 Chef special. Gammon from the menu was a large slab, fat chips with runny eggs. I had the Sea Bass on a bed of rice, very nice with practically no fish smell at all. The the girls who where on are a credit tro the pub, very knowledgeable of the menu and drinks available. Good job to them. Defo a must visit again when in the area.
