   What a super establishment!! The welcome, food, service were all top notch. They seemed to genuinely care about our experience which is a rare thing nowadays. Good portion size. We had a vegetarian mess and the BBQ mess burger meals which were very good value. I'm ashamed to say my BBQ mess was so good... I had another!!! Highly recommended.

   First time going to messy chef and trying their food. The food was really good, burger was fresh and full of flavour, lots of different variety things to order. Our server Rayan stood out, he was friendly and made sure we had everything we needed without us needing to ask him. You can tell he cares about the customers, which makes the whole place feel welcoming.

   Found this place online which had great reviews so thought I'd give it ago. It was a quiet Wednesday evening and the place was quiet. The guy serving was also cooking the food so he was back and forth but really friendly and happy to see me. I ordered the classic messy burger and it was honestly one of the best smashed burgers I've had, and I've had a few. The bun was toasted perfectly and the 2 smashed patties were cooked just right and melted in the mouth. The chips were so good, lots of Cajun session but not overpowering with the right flavour to match the burger. Service was amazing and the guy behind the counter did a great job. I paid £16 which is pretty expensive but I guess that's to do with the location. It's worth it for good quality halal food.

   Great burgers, excellent service and nice interior. Probably the best burger joint in Southsea. The desserts are lovely too. It is ever so slightly more expensive than the other halal places for burgers etc in Portsmouth but you get what you pay for and that is an amazing burger and a great selection of sides (which I will try more of next time. Only had the wings this time and they were sublime.).

   This probably would have been a 3, but being charged 80p each for a portion of super cheap mayo and ketchup stings. If you want a premium product, use a good condiment. As for the product, I'm guessing the chef lost his seasoning. Pattie was flavourless, the burger was rescued by the pickles, which is daft, and the sauce was ok. Overall, pretty disappointing. Miles off a decent burger in London (and sadly, miles off even some pubs nowadays). The tools are all there, and with refinement it could be good to be fair. Parmesan and truffle fries again just lacking some seasoning. They were also served, as a side, a good 5 minutes before my main. As I was the only person in the restaurant, I'd expect better. Shame as I've been looking forward to this. Still can't get over 80p for cheap condiments. Jeez. Bad.

   Amazing food! I'm from London and haven't been able to find many places in Portsmouth that make incredible food. However, I believe Messy Chief is a signature to Portsmouth. Staff is extremely kind and always happy which is nice when out! Thank you for the great experience :D

   Nee location on our Burger tour and we'll definitely be back soon. The owners were really friendly and the food was fresh, tasty and really reasonable... even before they gave us a 20% first timers discount. Halal so make sure you take your own beer or you can pop to the pub next door for a plastic pint. Looked great when it arrived, piping hot chips and plenty of filling (loaded) Lovely little place

   They just opened few days back and its totally my favourite place to have heavenly loaded fries. Their burgers are just the best i have ever had in Portsmouth! They are definitely one wonderful little foody gem. Great location, Kind & thoughtful customer service. Decent portion sizes & they obviously buy quality ingredients. Straight forward, good quality eating/meeting spot..perfect!

   I went with my son to dine-in at this new Burger place at Festing Road. Absolutely loved their selection they had for the kids on their menu. My son finished every bit of his Burger, surprisingly. Amazing selection of sides too. I will definitely be back. Keep up the good work, Guys!
