   Best fish and chips in the area. Honestly. If the the restaurants would hold the standards do.. Portions are decent. Those on the pics are medium. Well fed me. We took fish X 2 and large chips. Enough. Last time I've visited was 2010. Not much has changed- still good solid fish and chips. Highly recommend. Chips look soggy on a pic but trust me they're fine. Average meal with chips is 11..12,5 (2024.07)

   Best tasting fish and chips in the Fareham area. Eaten from there several times and its normally exellent but sometimes just good! wont go anywhere else around here.

   I would normally say a1 foods usually good was using this as my family chippy but went in today service was apauling chips were terrible comparing to normal they have more interest in there mobile phones I was very hungry sadly it went in the bin what a waste of 20 quid guess il be trying the other one in Lee

   Usually good. Friendly staff and quick service. First few times the food was great but last couple times have been a bit disappointing. They always ask twice if we want salt and vinegar and we always say yes but then can’t taste it at all. Chips are little under done last time too. Burgers and battered sausages have been lovely every time though!

   Just had a great meal from The Plaice - trouble is, It wasn’t what I wanted - I ordered Haddock and ate cod and my friend said her cod was just like haddock - really wish they would just put an initial on the delivery box! Apart from that - great

   Average, feel it is overrated, kebab/chippy. Cod was ok, batter was good.Definitely not the worst around here though. Paid £4.50 for a (3 person chips) but say it was a two person portion. Also cash only, somehow. Been here plenty of times before but remember it being better.
