   Just been in. Asked for a smaller portion as it is just me. Was charged £9.40 for small portion of Chicken and mushroom chow mein. That can't be right?? Girl serving was extremely rude and I had to see the chewing gum in her mouth....or coming out of it!! Shame as the food is delicious. I work in catering so will share my experience of how NOT to serve customers

   I have been going here for over a year now for my Chinese takeaway, and I can confidently say it’s the best Chinese takeaway I’ve ever been to. Food is always spot on, the staff are also very kind and accommodating, never been disappointed and I’ll continue to use them and recommend them. I’d be cautious that a lot of the reviews on here are about a completely different place, Jade Palace is a takeaway, not an eat in restaurant.

   The food is always good here so I ordered one to be delivered to my daughters flat in Fareham last night. The sweet n sour balls and prawn toast was well overcooked. So much so that they should have been thrown out and the chef start again. The rest of the meal was as good as it always is but as I paid over £30 for the two of us, I felt disappointed. I don't think my daughter would order from here again but will stick with her favourite, Canton Express. The order service and delivery were fine too, it just seems that anything deep fried was incinerated and no prawn crackers!

   We have just ordered a takeaway and didn't actually get what we ordered - we were given an extra portion of a meal that we didn't want (only ordered one but given an extra one and paid for 2 it turns out) and we ordered 2 sweet and sour chicken and it definitely wasn't sweet and sour....very disappointed and ended up paying £5 more than we should have.... not a very happy customer here and food very bland.

   I ordered the house chow mein, lemon chicken and some chips. We asked for no onions or peppers in the chow mein. For what we paid, we had decent portion size and they did as we asked and left the onions and peppers out. What stood out the most and is the reason we would definitely eat here again is the quality of the food was simply done and yet tasted really fresh. Not oily or greasy like some takeaways. That was a highlight and we would highly recommend Jade Palace to others!

   Great food as always our favourite for over 8yrs Counter service fantastic as always, we have seen many comings and goings Only criticism, take into account vegetable dishes should be kept separate from meat portions, as many vegetarians have food contaminated this way.. the platter with seaweed, vegetable rolls, ribs, prawns etc are all in together.. One hungry family member due to that situation
