I ordered chicken biryani online. I was totally disappointed with it. It was more like fried rice with plenty of ghee. There was no smell of biryani at all. It was total waste.
Ordered from this place via justeat, the order never turned up and they marked it as delivered. Multiple attempts were made to the store, but all were declined. Just we weary that they may not deliver.
Last Saturday, for the first time, we had our takeaway from Karims delivered. It worked perfectly, the delivery was on time, with no problems, and the food was it's normal excellent quality (and hot). We will do this again.
One of the best curries I’ve ever had! Ordered on website for delivery and was able to customise spice level and add Spinach to curry. Ordered chicken tikka dopiaza and onion fried rice and chicken tikka starter. Delivered to nearby hotel and they came to reception for me because of the rain. Cost £20 in total which is excellent, and they added salad and popadom and dip as an extra. Amazing customer service and very polite driver. I wish this was my local curry house but was only here for business stay - will definitely order again if I come back - thank you very much, it was delicious!
I recently visited Karim Indian Takeaway and felt compelled to share my exceptional experience. Raj, one of the staff members, provided exemplary service, exceeding all our expectations. From the moment we walked in, Raj was cordial, fun, and impressively quick. His excellent customer service truly stood out as he customized our order to meet our every need, adding the perfect amount of spice and making other adjustments effortlessly. The care and attention he showed were remarkable. The waiting area was lovely and comfortable, making the short wait for our food quite pleasant. Although it took a bit longer than expected, the quality of the food made it well worth it. The hot food was a testament to the care put into its preparation. Raj and the team at Karim made our visit memorable, ensuring we left with smiles and satisfied appetites. Thank you very much for what felt like a Hero's Dinner. All the best, guys. Used to be so good when it first opened... Watered down korma, tasteless chicken and soggy, undercooked naan. Won't be back until the standards improve.
Used to go regularly and like others have experienced it has progressively got worse to the extent that I feel like asking for a refund as half went in the bin!
We used to order a curry weekly as a treat a few years ago and the quality wasn’t bad then. Things started to slide, different chefs changing our favourite dishes and not for the better. When telephoning invariably someone takes the call who hasn’t a clue what to say, he doesn’t know what the dishes are, there are long silences and confusion. On top of that so many times there were errors ranging from dishes missing in the delivered takeaway bag as one example. Tonight after many months of getting fed up with the quality, errors, alterations etc., we thought we’d try Karims again! Never again! The curries were like oil slicks, there were a few thin slices of dry over cooked chicken, the sauce was not as flavoursome as it should have been. It was like a standard mild tikka sauce but the curries shouldn’t have been like a tikka! There was supposed to have been flavour and heat. There were two greasy onion bhajis on top of the curries, they had no texture or taste at all. The omelettes on top were like rubber and had clearly been made beforehand and kept under a ‘warmer’ which resulted in them being like a small rubber frisbee! On top of that the naan bread was cold and the poppadoms were soft. We gave Karims umpteen opportunities, even speaking to the manager a few times who repeatedly assured us that he was sorry and ‘it won’t happen again’, however it constantly did happen again. Sorry Karims but enough is enough, too many chances with no improvements at all, poor service, poor quality, frequent errors and sloppy standard staff. There won’t be any more orders in future from us. If there had been the option for no stars that would have been the option for tonight’s delivery.
I use a few different Indian takeaways in Fareham but this is up there with the very best for flavor, taste, value and portion size. Both myself and my wife had a lovely Curry and they gave us plenty of free poppadoms and sauces, in fact we've never had a bad curry from here and the staff are always very helpful , they always give you loads of food I can never eat it all so I have the rest the next day. I would highly recommend the food here and will be coming back here again confident of another excellent meal. Thank you Sam, Richie
