Been a few times now and I must say, it really was a hidden gem. Is your traditional local village pub, has a great atmosphere and interior. The staff and owner are very welcoming and friendly, they get you seated very quickly and the food is absolutely brilliant, fresh and homemade. Iβve always got the sirloin steak, every time Iβve been, definitely some of the best Iβve ever had. Always cooked to perfection, really canβt fault it. Overall, I find that HumberTavern is great value for money and in a fairly decent spot and I certainly will keep coming back. I definitely would recommend if youβre visiting this area or just want to try a different place thatβs not in Hedon or in Hull. I would rate it 10/10 honestly, love it here.

This is an unassuming place. But wait till you go in. There's on-road parking, and it's located at the end of the street just at the bend. It had outside seating as well overlooking the Humber River. Inside it very quaint, with pictures and usual pub decor. Several large screens are showing sport, and thoughtfully, the volume is off. Background music was playing, and everyone was cheerful. Now, the best bit was the food. There's a small menue and specials board. This means that what they do, they do extremely well. So three of us visited my wife & I plus her daughter. Kim had the Thai salmon, wife & I the roast dinner. A medium and large. Well, when it turned up, we were surprised at the size. They were huge. There is a choice of three meats, and we both had beef. The cuts of meat were very large and thick. Cooked beautifully. Tender and soft. We got a bowl of veg, then another. The roast potatoes were proper, not steamed. A proper Yorkshire pudding, lashings of thick meaty gravy. The daughter had peas and rice plus a salad with her salmon and thoroughly enjoyed it. We had so much food that we had to leave a bit. Next time, we will order a small and a medium instead. Fantastic food, the staff also are great as is the owner, Trev. What a great guy. They have some very nice wine, ciders including a blood orange one which was nice and a couple of Ales on tap. Lots of people were eating and our neighbours go all the time. Testament to the quality (they all have large and puddings). We've had roast dinners in lots of laces, the Railway Inn, Hornsea garden centre, etc, and for the quality, quantity, and price, this place can't be beaten. A shout out to Trev's daughter and her wife, who are the cooks. Absolutely fantastic ladies. We will be back. Oh, there's lots of seating in the main bar area and a large side room, and they cater for groups too.

Visited for two nights on 31st March and 1st April 2023. Had the grilled haddock and then the braised steak, very generous servings and the food was great, with very reasonable prices. Staff were more than happy to oblige, even making me halloumi fries when not on the menu.

Great atmosphere, staff and environment! Warm welcome given when we arrived and the food was absolutely superb. We all ordered the festive Yorkshire pudding and none of us could finish it but had a good go. Proper home cooked food served with a smile, havenβt had all of this in one place for such a long time but will definitely return even though we live miles away.

1 night stop off in Hull and staying close to this place. Recommended by the owners of the b&b I am at. Really nice place right on the waters edge, good selection of drinks at the bar . The food was stunning I went for the fish duo and was very happy. Lots of outside tables to eat or drink. Staff very polite and helpful. Really busy place for food and I know why 5βοΈ. Hope to be back soon
