   Booked last minute for a table. Shown to our table when we arrived and given menus. Orders taken promptly. Omg the food was beautiful. Not massive portions, but very tasty! One of our group is gf. Menu can be adapted. I will definitely be returning. Would highly recommend.

   1st time I've visted this pub, and as we was staying at Fairview lodges near Holym for my wife's birthday, wanted somewhere near. I rang ahead to book as was going to be 6 people, very polite and helpful on phone when booking. Arrived at restaurant side and had a very warm welcome and through out the meal the staff were very friendly and helpful. The menu had some very different choices which made a lovely change. Drinks where ordered and brought to table and food was brought quite quickly. Children's menu was varied and good value. Our food was very good, having chicken kiev, steak platter and 2 butchers block, these where all great.

   Absolutely love it here. It’s the best homemade food around. We went in on Sunday for a break from cooking. We booked a table and it was good job we did as it was busy. Nevertheless everything was spot on as usual the staff were attentive and very friendly. The food was second to none. So Thank you all, See you again soon

   We were staying locally so came here for Sunday lunch based on the reviews. We went for the "Large" plates but probably could have saved £4 each my going Regular and piling things up a bit (one table was clearly well-practised at this). Meat was nice (we both had beef), and there was a good variety of vegetables, the only slight criticism being that not all of them were piping hot. Service was excellent and price of drinks was a pleasant surprise. It's a long time since I saw a £3.50 pint of beer down south!

   Came here this evening with friend's after our daughter recommended the food. Well, she wasn't wrong. When we arrived we was shown to our table by a lovely young lady who took our drinks order first. Then another came and took our food order. Everything was piping hot and delicious. The service was excellent. Nice place with a beer garden and play area for the little one's. Will definitely come back for more. Highly recommend the Kiev schnitzel and the nachos sharing starter.

   Outstanding- Quality starters, the king prawn thermadore is great. The mix grill is awesome, as were the two large steaks that were ordered at our table. The lasagne was defo homemade too… To finish we had a few deserts to share and they were equally as good! 1st glass service even though we went on a busy bank holiday! Can’t wait to get back and try the Sunday roasts..

   We love this pub. The food was very tasty, mostly home made and the prices are very fair for what you get. The atmosphere is inviting, and light. The decor is clean, new but classic British pub. It’s light in there, not a dark dingy place, but light, friendly and inviting. Well worth a visit.
