   Dont normally complain becase the food is normally high quality but the beef curry was more like a few bits of onions and mushrooms a little bit of beef and a lot of runny sauce and the chips was like they was cooked yesterday very hard and was delivered late

   Used here for years ordered our food tonight came ice cold the chips were freezing the rice was cold and god knows what they had done to the curry sauce It was like water And they forgot the salt and pepper chicken will not be using again

   After reading mixed reviews I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the food. I ordered the set meal for one, and it was easily one of the best I've had in a long time. I requested the chicken with peppers in black bean sauce to be made spicy, and it was perfectly done. The portion was generous for just £10—so much so that I couldn’t finish it all! The service was excellent, the takeaway was spotless, and the prices were very reasonable. I’ll definitely be returning!

   SHOCKING! Ordered a delivery costing almost £50. Arrived over half an hour late with items missing. When we called about this issue we were told that they could not deliver the rest of our order due to staff issues! We were asked to collect the rest of our order or go in and get refund for items missing. Two people in our house were left with an incomplete meal. My husband had to leave his meal to go in to the shop to collect the rest of our paid for meals. We will NOT be using this place ever again!!!

   Just getting my appetite back after been ill so thought I'd try curry rice and chips always been my fave and oh my god it was horrendous. Thin hard chips, that had clearly been left standing god knows how long, cloggy dry rice and not enough curry sauce to make it palatable. Only good thing was that I only wasted 3 quid and I won't be giving them another chance. It also looks very scruffy and grubby when you walk in!

   ordered food on line at 4.35pm for a delivery at 7pm, order confirmed via email. 7.35pm food not arrived, phoned shop to be told by a very unhelpful person that my food was still in the shop and would be leaving in 10 minutes, no apology just told they'd been very busy. Still no food by 8.15pm (we live 2 miles away) rang again told by same person food was on its way, when I asked how long it would be she replied 'I don't know', I asked if she could check with the driver and she said no, she didn't know which driver was delivering it!!!! Had I have known it would be so late I wouldn't have bothered, I ordered this as a treat for my husband as I'm away for the night and he doesn't drive. Won't be ordering again, never felt so disappointed in a take away or made to feel so unappreciated for my custom.

   After using Silver Star for many years and enjoying the service and food, I felt I had to leave a review, the service was terrible and the food inedible! I would like to complain about my experience and meal ordered from silver star chinese takeaway in hedon tonight Saturday 13th Feb. The order was made online for collection at 7.05 I eventually received my order after 7.35!!!. Last time I ordered online xmas eve I waited 40 mins +. This is not acceptable. The meal I had  chicken in oyster sauce, it was cold and didn't taste nice at all the chicken was of very poor quality and had no taste of anything, the texture was slimy. I ate 2 pieces and some very cold rice and put the rest in the bin. I am really disappointed as this was a treat for us as a family. I will not be using the restaurant again and would not recommend it.
