We drive passed the sign nearly every Sunday,we went in this sunday,we hadn't booked but they fitted us in,the best roast beef we have ever had
The Crooked Billet is a friendly traditional village pub. There is a wide choice of beers lager and cider including John Smith's bitter and two hand pulled cask conditioned real ales which were in excellent condition when I visited. This cosy 400 year old former Tetley pub serves meals and Sunday roast. I haven't tried the food, but the menu looks very inviting. There is a dart board in the bar, a covered outdoor seating area, and the pub is dog friendly. Highly recommended.
This place is a lovely old fashioned pub, everyone is very friendly. We havent eaten here but been to the quiz night a few times which was fun. At some point I will.come and try the food.
Had a chasing family history weekend which led us to the Crooked Billet to which we had some connection in the past. The staff were really helpful and friendly. The food was fantastic. Steak was cooked to perfection. Something for everyone on the menu. Lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Our group turned up on a whim to have a drink but decided to stay for a meal. The food was superb. The steaks were cooked to perfection, home made chips and crunchy salad with just the right portion size. Great value for money. Great homely atmosphere with friendly landlady and locals. On departing we already had decided to pay another visit in near future. Simply wonderful!

Very friendly country pub owners only been there less than 2 weeks but they were very professional the Sunday lunch was very nice all lovely and hot and the sweet was to die for will definitely go back
