Our visit to Beefeater was absolutely nothing to write home about. We went for the dinner service and it was a messy and convoluted experience. We TRIED to order the Surf n Turf burger, but asked if it was possible to replace the meat patty with a halloumi patty. We were then misled into thinking that we could make this substitution though this wasn't the case at all. We were instead recommended an entirely different burger and to order an EXTRA side of prawns, which at first we were told would be the same price as the surf n turf, but later we were told that it would cost more. We ended up ordering the harissa salmon (with chips instead of potatoes) and the baconeater burger. Our wait for these dishes were very long, around 40-50 minutes. Once receiving them, we noticed that not only did the salmon not come with the chips we asked for, but that our portion sizes were laughably small. We could have complained about the potatoes, sure, but after waiting 50 minutes we were too hungry to bother. Luckily, after the long wait, the food was quite good. The burger was cooked well and the cheese was a nice touch. The burger was accompanied with fries and coleslaw. The fries were good, so it's a shame there was about 10 non-scrappy bits. The coleslaw was very bland. The salmon was flavourful, and the sauce that accompanied it was good. The potatoes were lacking any sort of flavour but they worked well with the meal. Unfortunately there just wasn't enough food for us to be full after this meal. For dessert, we ordered the banoffee cheesecake to share. It was mediocre, but it hit the sweet spot. Thus far, it wasn't too bad of an experience, but then our receipt was then handed to entirely different people, and these people's membership discount was applied to our bill (not that I'm complaining but it is unprofessional.) The chips that we asked for with the salmon, we were instead charged for separately, and never received. Once making this complaint we were given a to-go box with again a sad portion of chips inside, attached for reference.

It was our first visit to Beefeaters today and it's not going to be our last. From start to finish, it was amazing: We went in the morning, during the week for an unlimited breakfast. Parking was plentiful and free, I just had to use the computer at the entrance to log my registration. Easy. Upon entry, we was greeted by a friendly member of staff who guided us to our table and explained everything really well. The quality and availability of the food was perfect: everything was fresh and hot at the English breakfast bar, also amazingly tasty, and I consider myself quite a fussy eater with regards to the quality of products. The continental breakfast bar looked equally as amazing, but I didn't get around to having any - my sons both said it was all yummy though. They had lots of fruit and yogurt from it. I had plenty of fruit juice and a lovely flat white coffee - both were great quality! The atmosphere was really pleasant too: background music that wasn't too loud that you had to shout over it, and not too low that you couldn't enjoy it. All the tables were very clean and I noticed staff cleaning around the area, even doing booth windows. I would highly recommend this place. It will surprise you.

Great restaurant and bar. Good meeting place and great for a family night out or celebration. Food is good for a steakhouse, with regular vouchers available making it reasonably inexpensive. Friendly service and quite a good atmosphere, no loud music blaring out. Tables, chairs, carpets and decor are a little outdated. Staff are attentive and friendly, no long waits for food. But reasonably impressed and will visit regularly

just want to say a huge thank you to Kate for the absolutely wonderful service we received. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel incredibly welcome — warm, friendly, and attentive throughout. Her timing was perfect, she knew the menu well, and nothing was ever too much trouble. Kate has that rare quality of making every guest feel special. She struck the perfect balance between being professional and personable, and her genuine smile and positive attitude really added to the experience. It’s not often you come across service this good — it truly made our visit memorable. Thank you again, Kate — you’re a credit to your team, and we’ll definitely be back because of you!

Birthdays/Anniversary meal. Usually go here because both the food and the service are good. However, although most of the meals were good, the steak and jacket potato were not. 2 of us had the fillet steak, not a cheap meal. 1 with chips and 1 with jacket potato. The chips were undercooked, and the jacket potato was inedible, hard, and tasted disgusting and days old. My fillet steak was a very bad piece of meat, very chewy, and one-third of it was not eatable. When I order fillet steak, I do expect it to be good, especially as it's one of the most expensive cuts. I did ask the server to advise the chef of this and that it might be a good idea to check the meat he was buying a little closer. I sent my potato back and was given chips instead. They were undercooked. By this time, I was fed up, and I just wanted to eat my meal, so I didn't say anything further.

Food was excellent quality as always. Sadly on this occasion the meal was spoiled by the service. We arrived in plenty of time were seated and then left alone, in the end we had to call a waitress over to take the order having finished our drinks... The meal arrived promptly and the food was excellent. But then they started clearing the table before everyone had finished eating. In the end the whole table had been cleared away whilst I was still eating on my own... After the apparent rush, the staff seemed to just vanish and everyone in our area was left waiting for at least half an hour. By the time one did turn up, a queue formed to pay to get out, leaving us still waiting to order. As we attracted the attention of staff, we were told to wait our turn as other people had been waiting longer than we had!! So despite having chosen to eat off the set menu, we ate just the one course and had to leave as we had now been there 2 hours and when the bill came we had been charged for the 2 courses we had not had time to eat. So overall, not a great success. I understand staffing issues are a problem, but if you cannot cope with the numbers you have booked, you have to expect feedback like this.

Venue was really clean and the staff were really nice and polite, I would recommend booking a table as it was quite busy and we had to come back around 30 mins later as we hadn't booked a table. Food was good, the main meals and starters seemed a little overpriced for what you got but the quality was good. The children's three course meal was good and very good value for money and the deserts were great. Good selection of options for vegans and vegetarians without the usual boring options which was good.
