“I booked Mr Shiney for my daughter’s party after seeing him at a friend’s party last year, we both absolutely loved him (as did everyone else in attendance) and my daughter begged me to book him for her birthday! We were not disappointed, he was just as funny and engaging this time around :) He has a fantastic way with children - they were all spellbound, howling with laughter and desperate to get involved with the various acts. Even better, there is lots of adult humour in there as well to keep the parents entertained – we enjoyed the show as much as the kids did! I would absolutely not hesitate to book Mr Shiney again and would recommend him all day long, everyone was buzzing after the party saying how fantastic he was. I think my kids would quite like him to move in with us! ;-)”

“Played the Dolls House room with my daughter (17yrs). It was my first escape room but she'd done a few others. We found it very well organised and the whole experience was fun. We were asked if we wanted clues or to be left to figure the clues out by ourselves which was the choice we took but it was nice to offered the help. A great way to spend a couple of hours. Thank you.”

“Me and my family did the Prison Break as our first ever escape room. It definitely didn’t disappoint , it was so fun and very cleverly thought out. The staff were so helpful and friendly throughout. They made sure we knew how to get out if needed and explained the basics very well since it was our first time doing an escape room. Such good fun for the family will definitely be going again!”

“Today we tackled Dracula's Tomb, our first escape room experience. From the moment the sand started trickling through the hourglass we were completely immersed in the eerie atmosphere, trying to unravel the secrets of the room. Time flew by and by the final moments, the pressure was on but we did manage to solve the room with just under two minutes left. We enjoyed our first escape room and are keen to try another.”

“We had the BEST time at this escape room in Hull, all thanks to the incredible host, Tom! From start to finish, he made the whole day unforgettable. We started off with axe throwing—something I’d never done before—and by the end, I was winning! Tom was super patient, encouraging, and full of great tips. He really took the time to teach us the right technique and made it so much fun. After that, we tackled the escape room, The Cabin. It was brilliantly designed—just the right mix of challenge and excitement. Tom knew exactly when to step in with a clue and how to guide us without spoiling anything. Thanks to his spot-on help, we escaped just in time! Thank you so much, Tom—you made our day! We’ll definitely be back and can’t recommend this enough for couples, friends, or groups. An all-round fantastic day out!”

“I am brand new at Village. Bailey offered me a free 12 week program and wow has he got me motivated. He is very knowledgeable on diet aswel as exercise and even suggested some alternative snacks for me, as I am terrible snacker. I think he is just amazing, enthusiastic, professional and a wonderful motivator. He even convinced me to attend his boxercise class. I couldn't believe I loved it. I think Bailey is a super trainer and he has a lovely friendly manner. He has made me feel uninhibited to do and try everything at Village. I cannot thank him enough.”

“This is the best role play we’ve been too and now to be classed as award winning, it’s truly a fab way to spend a few hours. As soon as you arrive you are greeted with great customer service and a play bank card to use around the role play space. My little girl is 3 and loves all of the different areas from shopping with the little trolleys and scanning area to the farm room feeding the animals to the music room smashing out a tune on the drum to name a few. After tidy time, all of the children are given a sticker for helping to clear away. The food and drink is all reasonably priced and if you want to treat your little one there’s a selection of toys to buy also :)”

“Despite being up in the Gods we had an excellent view and could hear everything clearly. Seats were comfortable and not as cramped as many places. Refreshments could be ordered online and delivered to your seat. Staff were friendly and helpful. Altogether a pleasant experience.”

“This cinema offers a truly fantastic experience, featuring very comfortable seating and consistently friendly and helpful staff. They also provide an excellent selection of snacks. While it may be slightly more expensive than other cinemas in the vicinity, the quality of the experience certainly justifies the price.”

“We recently had a birthday party there and it was absolutely amazing. Brilliant package for the price - 3 games of laser, game of bowling and a loaded fun card for arcades. All of the kids had the best time. Staff is just beyond fantastic, very accommodating , constantly checking up on us making sure everything was okay. I would 110% recommend to absolutely everyone ! Very happy parent and very happy bunch of kids that attended :)”

“I recently discovered the Nuffield Health Centre in Hull and was amazed that such a great facility was right here. The gym is well equipped, the swimming pool is clean and perfect for both exercise and relaxation, and the tennis courts are a brilliant bonus. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. I honestly didn’t know this place existed in Hull – it really feels like a hidden gem for health and fitness. Highly recommended!”

“Stayed here for one night 1st September for the first time. Great location for us just a minutes walk from train station too. All staff very friendly and helpful a credit to the hotel from check in to reception and breakfast staff all fantastic. Room nice and comfy bed. Had early morning breakfast able to grab cereal and toast and a coffee. Would definitely come back and stay again.”

“My wife and I found ourselves hungry and tired from walking around the marina area which is a revelation to see it so much changed. (I am 81 tears old and was born in the city of Hull and know a lot about the place). We called in at the hotel to see if we could get a light lunch and were greeted warmly and our dog was welcomed as well. The meal was superb and the pizza was by far the best I had ever been served anywhere. The staff were helpful and the place was warm and clean. We were served by a guy called Adam. We will certainly return. Robin Taylor.”

“Great value for money . Friendly staff.. A very good selection of products. Anything from A to Z. Furniture , Christmas decorations. Iceland section, craft products, garden section . Loads of different things. I think there are 16 different departments some may be seasonal. Always good deals on some things , cat food , cat litter etc . I spend hours here . Nice little cafe too . With some cakes to die for. Well worth a visit .”
