“Can't praise it enough. Really good meal. My husband had lamb and I had pork, both meals were really good. We both had Bailey and Hazel nut roulade, he had cream and I was rather cheeky and asked if I could have Baileys poured over mine. That's exactly what I got. Quite a small place, staff lovely and polite. The whole thing was less then £20 for both of us.”

“My husband, daughter, son-in-law, and I had a wonderful time in the cottage, which I consider to be the most attractive in this holiday complex. The second floor of the large cottage is stone and traditional on the outside, yet completely modern, cozy, warm, and homey on the inside. We loved absolutely everything: the silence, the peace, the sounds of nature, and even the smells, so unusual in the city. The rooms have everything you need to feel at ease. We got exactly what we expected: my husband got a sauna and a pool, I got a water garden with apple trees and carp, and the dog got a view from the window. The young couple got the sea just half an hour away. We're very happy and would definitely return if we could.”

The hosts are really friendly, there’s parking, it’s quiet, and the breakfast is really generous - so much to choose from; especially loved the fresh eggs laid by the hens that lived there, and tons of other choices from crumpets to granola.”

“This is an excellent local takeaway, and deservedly very popular. I have used this takeaway over many years. The staff are very friendly and efficient. There is an extensive and varied menu. The food is excellent and good value for money. The chips are so much nicer than any of the big chain burger and chicken joints. They are always hot and you get twice as much for less money. I took this place for granted, I didn't realize how good it was until I went to some of the well known High Street fast food places. Spring cottage beats them all hands down.”

“We stayed at The Old Post Office in Sandsend and enjoyed 7 delightful days. The property is compact but well designed and with a touch of luxury that we admired. A couple of small teething problems were efficiently sorted by the management team. It was such a pleasure to sit on the sea facing balcony enjoying a coffee on a morning. Overall very pleased and would not hesitate to recommend this place!”

“Just returned from a great weekend at the cottage. It is a beautiful cottage and was very well equipped for our party of 4. The hot tub is also an added bonus! The host, Tom, is also lovely and gave plenty recommendations of where to go in the area and where to eat. We also received a welcome pack from Tom… and a birthday cake, which was very kind! Situated literally a stone’s throw from the heart of Hornsea, the cottage somehow manages to be simultaneously close to the action and yet secluded and quiet. The cottage itself has everything you need to make it a home from home – comfortable beds, loads of storage, enormous kitchen – with the stunning extra of a hot tub thrown in to lift it above similarly priced alternatives.”

“Went for my Mother in laws birthday. Came all the way from Manchester to be with her. What a lovely place. The food was amazing. I had tomato and basil soup which is the nicest I’ve ever tasted. It came with an home made bread roll which was so soft and tasty. I had a cheese scone along with this that was also so light. The selection of cakes is amazing too, They brought cake out for Rita and sang happy birthday. Such lovely people. Would definitely recommend”

“Really nice pleasant atmosphere. I have long hair and I'm nervous when I get it cut but Louise who cuts my hair really listens to what I want and I've never gone away unhappy. Would recommend to my friends and family.”

“We stayed a night after picking up a camper van. (Hence no stars for rooms - it's not applicable). The facilities are great - spacious shower cubicles and nice hot water! The site has good space between pitches and they have a black chicken who guards reception and 3 turkeys who are free ranging across the site. There are moorhens around the pond and the site is in a country location. The warden was really helpful. He lent us a kettle as we had no gas and was great, with advice and offers of help. A BIG thank you to him. Also we chatted with another staff member who was really nice and very friendly. Take aways can be delivered (we needed one as we had no gas!) - we had Indian but I believe there was also Chinese and Kebabs available. We enjoyed our meal & ate in the bar where there is TV. Shame we were only there for the night”

“I will be honest with you, if I was looking for a relaxing spa day or two I wouldn't emediately look to Scunthorpe as my location destination of choice. But here we landed. This place is off of a main road and then off of a minor road and you then turn off of that to arrive at Sawcliffe Manor, we stayed in the rose cottage. Its beautiful and full of quaint English farm house charm. Everything is clean and fully equipped to be home from home, that is if your house has a Aga creating the cosiest of kitchens. Then we get to use the spa, this is pure luxury wonderful products to cleanse and refresh every part of you. We had a 10 month old baby with us, he loved all the water play and swinging seats as well as the baby massage lotions. We took loads of photos of all three of us smiling from ear to ear but as we are a foster family so can't share photos on any social platforms. This was a lovely place to spend a day or two”

“Lovely quiet and peaceful, the beach is ALWAYS deserted and just 10 min stroll, there is a pub walkable in 20 mins across the fields and headland , the farmer next door is so friendly and helpful , but the two greats are a hot tub in the bungalows courtyard adjacent to open fields and it's DOG FRIENDLY,”
