“Such a wonderful place to stay . Lovely hosts, thoughtful and attentive. Charming accommodation with a very good standard of comfort, furniture and furnishings . Super clean as well as an eco friendly too! The grounds and gardens are stunning and the pool is absolutely fantastic. Great location for exploring and local enough to all conveniences. Look forward to returning again.”
“Nartnapa was a wonderful find! My friend and I were staying the night just next to the restaurant, at Sunny Lyn Holiday Park, while hiking the South West Coast Path. Having walked 20 miles that day, we didn't want to have to walk down (and up again) the big hill into Lynmouth, so we took a chance and popped our heads in at Nartnapa to see if they could fit us in for dinner that night. We were greeted with smiling faces and confirmation that they could seat us. The ambience was happy yet calm, with lots of other satisfied customers already enjoying their food. Our meals were delicious (prawn green curry and pad Thai), and the sticky toffee puddings afterwards really hit the spot. This restaurant is more than just "convenient if staying at Sunny Lyn" - it would be worth a special trip just to enjoy the menu and friendly service.”
“We cannot praise Ross, Laura and the team at Keepers Cottage enough for their care of our collie over the past week. Our much loved boy was shockingly mistreated at our previous kennels, despite boarding there without any cause for concern for over 8 years. Following this incident, we paid a visit to a few alternative boarding facilities ahead of our vacation this year and started to doubt whether we would be able to trust another kennel to care for our pet the way in which we would. We'd read that Keepers Cottage had been taken over by new management in the past few years and despite our initial reluctance (having only ever heard negative reviews of the business as it was previously run) we reached out to arrange a visit and was pleasantly surprised by the response we received, suggesting we call by at any time during opening hours (something that's normally frowned upon or restricted by other kennels). As soon as we met Laura and Ross our minds were instantly put at ease - what a genuinely lovely pair of people! Both were so welcoming and completely open and upfront about the extensive work that they'd already undertaken to get the kennels in the condition that they are today, and the plans they have to make even more improvements over the next few years. Ross' knowledge and love of animals is evident from the questions he asked about our dog, his health and our past experiences and it was immediately apparent that for these guys, this business isn't just a means of income, but a shared and genuine passion shared by the whole family - they really do care about what they do. Due to the past trauma experienced by our collie, Ross recommended that we leave him there for a day to see how he settled before any long term boarding - a perfect suggestion that not only helped him to settle in, but to completely set aside any fears we may have had about leaving him in kennels. I picked him up after a weeks stay earlier today and we were in complete shock over how happy and content he was; he even ran past me, straight to Laura as soon as he came out of his run - if that doesn't speak volumes for how well he enjoyed his stay then I don't know what does! It was clear that he's been well looked after; his bedding wasn't dirty as it normally it, he didn't smell like he's done in the past and he didn't pull and whine to go home like normal. It's evident that he's been well looked after and I cannot thank Laura, Ross, their girls and the team enough - after his stay with you, I wouldn't trust anyone else with the care of our pets. We look forward to many happy stays with you in the future and would wholeheartedly recommend you guys to anyone!”
“Rosedew Farm is an amazing venue for a live band! The setting is full of character and charm, with plenty of space for guests to let loose and enjoy the music. Our bands always love performing here, the atmosphere is electric, the team are brilliant to work with, and every celebration feels relaxed, joyful, and unforgettable. It’s always a highlight on our calendar, and we’re proud to be part of such incredible weddings at this beautiful venue.”
“These are great cottages with some great gardens. There is a small walk down to the beach nearby. The cottages are peaceful and quiet a great place to go for a relax. Easy to get around from this base point.”
“Had a lovely Thai meal here in what used to be an old pub. Lovely Thai lady cooking who was very friendly and sweet. Food was tasty and not spicy.”
“Always eat here when I’m back in the area to see family. Been going here since I was a very young. Changed hands a few times. These owners are exceptional and are exceptionally good at running the pub. Honest food at reasonable prices. Without a doubt one of best pubs serving food . Always busy. Friendly service. Dogs welcome. Hard to beat.”
“Beautiful place to stay. Surrounded by sheep and fields, a quaint farm cottage to stay in which is really accessible to the local area for exploring. Kitchen had a nespresso, toaster and kettle and everything you need. The garden was immaculate as well. The owners were welcoming and left us to enjoy the stay in their peaceful farmhouse setting.”
“Driven past many times, so I'm so glad I popped in. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. Good choice on the menu. Very reasonable prices. Breakfast was very tasty and cooked to perfection. The open fire made it very comfy. Glad I did pop in. Will definitely be going in again. Would recommend.”
“Lovely, caring people and the kennels are large and clean. My dogs have stayed a few times and didn't want to come home!”
“Excellent service and food. Our servers, Maddie and Lucy were friendly and helpful when we were deciding what to eat and drink. And the chefs (Dan and Luke I think) prepared out Chateaubriand to perfection. Thank you so much!”
“Ate here tonight with the extended family which meant more young kids than adults. Always a difficult meal out but staff were really friendly, attentive and patient. Food was excellent, we had a variety of starters and mains and all were polished off with a smile. Children's food was of the same quality as well, real chicken strips with a nice crisp coating and decent portion sizes. A good selection of drinks and desserts and the atmosphere was really good, a busy Wednesday night after a cool and sunny day. The outside seating with fires for warmth looked really good. Definitely worth a visit and the seafront makes for a nice walk before / after the meal or both.”
“Great little pub . Great to see it still going. Food delicious and filling”
“Such an iconic building...been part of the history of Pontypridd for many years”
“Sadly this is our last evening as we go home tomorrow. What a wonderful place to stay so relaxing calm and peaceful. First time we’ve took our dog on holiday Barney soon made himself comfortable and at home. Wonderfully equipped place and spotlessly clean. Tv is huge but a little hard to see when the sun shines but the view from the windows are beautiful. Very comfortable stay thank you for opening this beautiful space for us xx”
“The house is good in terms of interior... it would be good if there would be a coat hanger down stairs... parking is not allocated so we had to park quite far 2 times but few times we got it near by. The place was nice amd clean and rooms are spacious. Thank you we have enjoyed staying there.”
“Excellent service with a friendly feel to lettings.”
“What a nice little getaway just of the A39 in Washford, good walks, small railway around the corner, just brilliant.”
“My go to for ordering. Always early & they always listen to my requests. We get chicken chow mein, chicken fried rice. Curry sauce. Sweet and sour chicken balls too. All delicious! Piping hot and so much food we have the next day too.”
“Lovely place to stay for work or play”
“Absolutely amazing, will not go to any other Indian takeaway, chicken tikka main is to die for, the chicken madras is heaven!”
“Thank you Cath, for doing 2 beautiful bunches of flowers for my Wedding day at such short notice. My Mum and Mother in law loved them.”
“Can't thank Paul enough for all his help, he was brilliant and very quick to respond to my emails. Would certainly recommend Paul to anyone who requires help.”
“Nicky proved to be a wonderful host, The rooms were very clean with fresh linen in each room. We were a family of 5 and had a wonderful stay. Nicky knows the area like the back of her hand and recommended some lovely local places for us to visit like Ogmore by Sea. We would definitely visit again and highly rate the accommodation and the host.”
“We had a fabulous break and the cottage has was everything we hoped it would be. Plenty of space, comfy beds, well located, cosy fire, gorgeous roll top bath etc etc. And it was so well-equipped – quite possibly the best-equipped cottage we've ever stayed in! There wasn't anything in the kitchen that we wished we had - from sharp knives (such a rarity in rental properties), hand blender, garlic press, meat thermometer - all cooking needs were covered. The hot tub was a real treat and even a bit of rain didn’t stop us enjoying it almost every day. The garden was so beautiful at this time of year, and so peaceful (except during bell ringing practice on Friday night!) – lovely to sit out on the few times we saw the sun! Lucy’s walk leaflets are great and really helpful inspiration for things to do. We loved the complimentary high quality toiletries (and lovely bubble bath) and all the efforts to be as eco/sustainable as possible.. The kids loved the Easter eggs on the welcome tray – thank you!”
