“We were a family of 15, we all had a great tome outside space was amazing”
“We stayed in jimmys cottage for 5 nights. Our two dogs were more than welcome which is mainly why we booked here. The view of the mountains is fantastic, we were able to walk into tollymore by going down the lane. Cottage is roomy and really clean. The milk and biscuits were a lovely gesture. Jacinta was always available to answer queries, much appreciated. We were able to close the gate and it was safe for the dogs to run around. Jimmys is detached and fully enclosed. We will miss the view and the tranquility and would definitely stay here again.”
“If I could give 10 stars I would. We had a fabulous time...! This was our second stay and this time we were in Crannoge Cottage. Really comfortable beds and everything to hand. Really high quality facilities and spotless. Paula and her team made us feel so welcome and the weather was amazing. I have never seen the mountains looking so beautiful & the sea was nice and warm too...! Mourne at its best... A showcase for my sons first visit to Annalong to see his Irish roots. We will be back...”

“Absolutely amazing accommodation! Can't wait to go back”
“Brilliant accommodation in a quiet location with beautiful views of the Mourne Mountains. It's also very handy to Newcastle. I booked 5 cottages for a hen do, it's the perfect spot for a large group or extended family. The cottages were clean and Phil was friendly and helpful.”
“Five stars aren't enough! Stayed in the Eco loft for 3 nights, so clean, comfortable and cosy. Very well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, good hot shower and the views are fabulous. The owner (and his lovely dog) were welcoming and helpful, will definately be back.”
“That plant that I was trying describe today is called Persicaria bistorta. Don’t think you had it or did you? Thanks anyway”
“Excellent small and friendly cafe. Fires always lit in colder months which is great! Awesome selection of high quality food and drinks available.”
“Amazing family experience. This really got us and the kids into the Xmas spirit. Really well done. The kids had a ball. Visiting Santa made the whole experience he spoke to them about their favourite things and what they wanted for Xmas. Highly recommend is a tad expensive tho.”
“Beautiful views, lovely and comfortable cottage, ideal for for a country break for a couple.”
“We visited last summer and I am just now looking this place up to recommend to friends who are traveling soon. This is, by far, the most welcome we have ever felt in a B&B. The rooms are cozy and luxe, remodeled completely by the hosts. Books abound. Nooks to drink coffee in, space for groups, and an absolutely lovely child and pup are roaming around. Hosts picked us up from the bus station, fed us in the mornings, and took us to the foot of Slieve Donard to hike and explore Tollymore forest. We were only there a short time, but I can confidently say we will return to Newcastle and to Bryansford cottage. I believe they are adding on an event space which I am sure will only enhance the grounds. I apologize for my lack of photos of the indoor space, but just know that they are beautiful and will be up to your expectations. Attached are photos of the grounds, the forest and our hike.”
“Quiet, secure, cosy cottage which you feel is your home. Couldn't recommend it enough”
“Absolutely beautiful house in beautiful surroundings.”
“Absolutely splendid little cottage, tucked away off the beaten track, but still so close to many amenities. Lovely and quiet, with a fantastic host. Get away from it all.”
“Such a beautiful cottage in a stunning setting with gorgeous views & perfect for a quiet getaway! It was perfect for us and our one year old, the cottage is beautiful furnished and decorated & is very cosy with the fire lit! We will most definitely be coming here again whenever we can!”
“Amazing cottage with stunning views of the sea and harbour. The garden is beautiful too. I would really recommend this stay!”
“The best location for some quality family time and memory making. Right off the walking path to Tollymore Forest and a tranquil stay.”
“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at White Gate Lodge. The place has bags of character and a lovely view of the Mournes. The patio and garden made a great place for a breakfast cuppa or an evening drink, and the lounge and bedrooms are cosy and comfortable. Philip was a very caring host - checking that we had settled in well and even sending my son's cuddly toy back through the post! Newcastle and Castlewellan are both nearby, providing good shopping and plenty of activity for the family.”
“We loved the long weekend we spent in this wonderful homely cottage. Despite not having booked the hot tub, Jo and Graham had fortuitously set it up. So we and the children could enjoy, loved the fact it was wood fired. Fantastic garden space, fully utilised by the children. Walking distance to gorgeous local pub, short drive into Newcastle/Castle Wellan and the Mourns. Would highly recommend staying, the welcome pack of goodies was a delightful surprise. Thanks so much for making our stay in Maghera wonderful.”
“Fantastic service as always. Great cut that suits my breed of dogs. Very knowledgeable and very compassionate to the dogs. First class”
“Mourne Mountains Adventures provide an excellent and friendly hiking experience with loads of locations. Robbie is an exceptional and informative guide with loads of mountaineering expertise. Personally I always have a great experience in any of the guided hikes he provides which keeps me coming back!!! I cannot recommend him enough. Go and get one booked!!!!”
“Always a first class service with a smile. It don't cost anything for that. Thank you”
“I cannot say enough about how much we love Rostrevor Holidays!!! A true home away from home for us!! We have stayed here on multiple occasions, and Didi has always bent over backwards for us!! Will absolutely be back again the next time we are in Ireland!”
“An exceptional and amazing forest to visit. Native Ancient Irish woodland and with only 2% coverage in Ireland a real gem. Some of the trees are truly majestic. Bought by the Woodland Trust in 2021 it is due to open to the public summer 2022. A truly amazing place.”
“A nice park at a walkable distance from Carlingford town. They have these unique installments with folklore stories written next to them. The admission to the park is free. There are some picnic tables as well. The view of the mountains is fantastic. It can get a little windy during the evenings.”
“As a large family, renting Inch Schoolhouse was the highlight of our trip abroad. The home is well appointed with multiple opportunities to both recreate and relax. I highly recommend!!”
“Beautiful house, had a great time . Great facilities.”
