Cracking pub, nice and friendly team, and excellent food, curry night on Monday stood out in particular. If I'm passing in the area, I'll be sure to stop in again. Also dog friendly with dedicated area in pub, including bowls and treats.
Called in for a pint while staying at mappleton Beach... Didn't sample the food but plenty were eating. Good selection of beers n ciders, lagers. Dog friendly. Tap room with dart board.. excellent. Will return.
Lovely friendly place, had a large family group Sunday lunch for fathers day. Everyone enjoyed it. Also enjoyed a few drinks outside in the sun before our 30 second walk back to our accommodation.
Pleasant and reasonable enough, the curries special seemed very popular with plenty of other diners commenting how good it was. Burger was ok, not terrible, not out of this world, chicken strips starter was pleasant enough, but could have done with adding a few more given price, scampi was commented to be very good, the steak and ale pie was lovely, proper pastry, just of gravy and filled generously.
The Cross Keys pub & restaurant is a popular large three roomed pub next to the caravan park. There is a traditional front bar and a separate room next to it, which is dog friendly and a separate dining room. I haven't tried the food but the menu looked very inviting. There is a wide range of beers, lager and cider, including three hand pulled cask conditioned real ales. There is also a wide range of real ciders, including one made locally. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and there is outside seating. I was very impressed with the quality of the real ales and the range of real ciders. I highly recommend visiting this pub.
Nice friendly pub but a bit pricy for the quality of the food, eg for just short of £12 my friend had a steak pie and it was blatantly obvious it had been heated and reheated several times. My £12 fish in crispy beer batter was soggy in places. The egg on my wife's £13 gammon steak was uncooked around the yolk.
It was empty on a Friday night! We were greeted on entry and chose our seats, we were attended to very quickly with menus and drink order taken, Food took ages to arrive but i didnt mind at least i know it was cooked from fresh and not microwaved or reheated. Food looked appetising and served on wooden blocks, my chicken burger was dry and my chips tasted of well used oil, the curry was tasty i was told and the burger was also dry kids meal looked ok at least it was fresh peas!
Called at the pub yesterday for Sunday lunch with my wife and son. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be back.
Been here quite a few times now, the Sunday dinner is absolutely amazing and the deserts great prices as you can order up to 3 courses for around £15. Bargain. Staff are lovely and very friendly I'd deffinetly book though as it gets really busy.
When we show at The Crossmere Gathering, the Cross Keys is our "Goto" place for a pint & a bite. Very pleasant staff. Good Food, good choice, reasonable prices. I advise to book in advance, although our projected wait was nowhere near as expected and we were well accommodated... Thank you
