   I was welcomed by a lovely lady and given a table during the busy lunch service. I had the daily roast which was nice accept for the burnt Yorkshire pudding, that I wasn't able to rectify before or during the meal. Staff were indifferent and unapologetic at checkout.

   We didn’t eat there as we were told in no uncertain terms that if we hadn’t booked we were not allowed in!!! So pleased we hadn’t booked as the whole place stank of old greasy fat. The waitress was quite rude when she spoke to us. So won’t even be trying this place again. I like to support local Business, but some businesses don’t deserve support.

   Roast beef brisket Sunday lunch was good. The meat and gravy were delicious, but the potatoes were undercooked, the Yorkshire pudding was burnt, and the stuffing was Paxo. They offer a nice selection of deserts (to takeaway at a discounted price, too). They did accept cards but make it clear they prefer cash. Service was prompt and very friendly.

   We popped in here on the off chance they had a table for lunch and we were lucky. They weren't taking cards the day we went which is probably why there were some free tables. We ordered the loaded fries and a beef sandwich with gravy. The sandwich was made with bloomer bread which was delicious and the gravy was amazing. The loaded fries were okay. The portion was large, there was a lot of salsa and not as much cheese as I would have expected and the chicken was a little dry. We are most of it but wouldn't order this dish again. The cafe has a good atmosphere and appears clean and tidy. We will definitely visit again.

   A great start to Saturday filled with house viewings. If only the Cottingham property market provided a much value. The young staff member was genuinely welcoming and helpful, someone any manager would wish to have representing the business. Food was tasty and fresh meaning it was decent value as well as being really quickly served.

   Booked my daughters babyshower, and the room was clean and welcoming. The staff were friendly and 'Ellie' helped us to decorate the room. We had 3 hours of fun and games with afternoon tea, which was reasonably priced. Would definitely book again, and it is highly recommended.
