Been for lunch this week. As good as ever, if not even a bit better. Lovely nicely cooked food and a great atmopsphere. Even made the dog very welcome.
We aren’t regulars, but call several times a year. We cannot fault the food, it’s better than a 4* hotel we use. The staff are always friendly and helpful.

A beautiful little pub. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Just feels like a welcoming local. The pub is very clean and has that village pub feel and the deco is tasteful. The food WOW the food was delicious. We ate everything in front of us. A New York deli burger and rump steak & caramelised onion sandwich, followed by cheesecake (cherry & chocolate). This food was to a very high standard and tastes out of this world. I had a pint of black sheep bitter and really enjoyed it. Service was first class, staff were lovely. The only criticism i had to go home.
Great experience, staff were really helpful. We turned up without booking and fortunately they were able to accommodate us. I would recommend booking in advance as they are very busy. Food was delicious for me as a Veggie and my husband who loves meat. We really enjoyed it.
Went for tea Saturday night (that's dinner if you're posh) with my wife and kids. The meal was lovely, really nice atmosphere. The waiting staff were on point. They just knew how much time to let you look at the menu ask what you wanted etc some places leave you ages some too quick, they have it spot on here. Considering the place, the food and the lovely atmosphere the price was very good. We will definitely be back
I had the large Haddock and chips with mushy peas. It was very tasty and possibly the best fish and chips I've had in ten years. It was washed down with two amazing beers, Wainwright golden ale and Black sheep ale. Delicious!
