We enjoyed a lovely afternoon with our family. The food was excellent. Really tasty, good variety and arrived hot and well presented. All the staff were friendly and helpful. A really enjoyable family meal.

We had a cracking meal today over at The Half Moon. The food was incredibly tasty with large portions sizes and the staff were most friendly and welcoming. Another bonus was that is has a dog friendly area and the pooches got a few treats too. A very warm and welcoming atmosphere overall and I won't hesitate to go back again soon. Highly recommend! Thanks guys.

We came here due to another pub been full. It felt so warm here and cosy. Not much on the menus to use from so didn't feel overwhelmed. My little girl who has Autism loved been in a new place. Car park a good size. A lovely village pub. Would head back and staff where lovely and understanding.

I saw a few reviews from Caprani’s and thought I’d also give my review of the same night. We too called to book a table, whilst we were aiming for 6:30pm, we were able to secure a table for 6:45pm. The chap on the phone was lovely and polite. We turned up, on arrival the bar was busy and the atmosphere was sociable with country music playing (much to one of our friends delight). There were 3/4 other full tables, all of which looked delighted with their meals. We ordered drinks and food, no issue. In fact, the children’s wished to order a an adults meal off the special board which the kitchen was more than happy to accommodate as 2 children’s meal. Thank you! Our table ordered the red Thai curry, 3 steaks and 2 portions of ribs. All of which were cooked to perfection and tasted gorgeous! The homemade chips were the right combo of crispy and soft, they reminded me of how my great grandma use to do hers. We stayed until around 9pm. The service from the waitress was lovely, it was nice to see the owners socialising with visitors and the beer gardens been used. The only down side was the lack of desserts. They only had two options available when we were asked if we’d like desserts at 8pm, but we were pretty full from the large portions way. I’m not sure what pub the two other individuals went too, it sounds like they had a rough time, but this definitely wasn’t our experience at the Half Moon Skidby ♥️ We will be back again soon!

Delicious food with a good choice on the lunch menu. Good value too with main courses around £8.95 - £9.95. I enjoyed an enormous Yorkshire pudding with mince and a selection of vegetables. The gravy was outstanding! A lovely, inviting interior to the pub; looks like it's recently been refurbished. Staff are wonderful, so helpful and friendly. Dog enjoyed himself too! Will definitely be visiting again next time we travel this way. Thank you.
