Girl taking phone orders was lovely, so chatty and helpful on the phone. Let herself and the New Peking Corner down BIG time when we seen her sitting vaping at the counter. Take away was full of customers including a family with young children. Disgusting!!!! Very off putting we wont be back.

I really wanted to like this place because the only other option for Chinese in Newcastle is Sea Palace which is rotten. Beef in black bean = gloopy and disgusting Chicken in schezuan = I don't even believe that was actual chicken in that. Also gloopy Duck pancakes - really didn't think it was possible to get these wrong but the pancakes themselves were all stuck together so you couldn't actually make any pancakes. Duck meat was fine. Only saving grace was the fried rice and soft noodles. Gutted to be honest but one redeeming factor is the staff I spoke to were really lovely.

Absolutely horrendous! Please save your money and go else where. The curry was honestly one of the worst curry’s that I’ve ever tasted. Totally inedible and with disgusting chewy bits of meat. The garlic prawn dish (cannot remember the exact name) was so stodgy and gloopy that it near made me sick. The chicken balls were fine, nothing spectacular but that giant chicken ball??? What was the thought process behind that monstrosity? It was crispy but the rice inside was so dry and tasteless and when I opened it up there was three skittery bits of dry chicken inside, it was awful. I literally should’ve got my money and set it on fire!!!! We travelled back to the campsite to eat so it wasn’t even worth returning it. I doubt they would’ve refunded or replaced it anyway. The girl behind the counter did nothing but complain about her job and the amount of times the phone went & about how many orders she had taken. She was absolutely miserable & made it very obvious that she didn’t want to be there or serve you. Please avoid at all costs!!

The chips were quite rubbery and chewy, the chicken balls had no flavour and the salted chilli chicken was also chewy and weird. There is no way in heaven that any of this food is cooked fresh. Disappointed with the price. They have a displayed hygiene rating of 2 which hasn’t been updated in years

This is the best Chinese around I travel 12miles to get it even tho there is a Chinese 2miles from where I live , the food is tasty every single time portions are big and worth the price . Staff are friendly and is well informed of what is in all dishes and so helpful . Thanks to all staff keep up the good work ⭐

Lovely young lady serving the food was incredibly helpful, but other than that my experience of the place was horrendous. The food was awful, which made me and my friends feel incredibly unwell. To top it off, another customer came into the restaurant and started smoking without anyone saying anything to him

We had a carry out Beef in black bean sauce, The sliced beef was beautifully soft but the sauce was more like a gravy chip. Although there was blackbean in the sauce it was almost neutral in taste. It was quick on a Friday night, no queue (tells its own story). I may give a 2nd chance some night when hunger overwhelms me & there's noweherelse open. £8.70.....sliced beef in black bean sauce & chips.....the most I've paid in any chinese takeout.

Lady serving was very polite but that was the highlight. Chicken curry had no peas or mushrooms. Stodgy. Very expensive too. 23.8.22
