   Okay. The store is okay. I am a trade customer so obviously use the Trade side of the store. My issue is with a member of staff. I won’t mention a name but she shouldn’t be working there. All she does is moan and limps around. A lot of trades are fed up with her.

   If you use any kind of shopping on the Fratton Park all the parking spaces are run by premier park, who will jump out of a hidden car the second you leave and inspect your car parking. If your in a large car or van or truck I advise shopping somewhere else as they will take photos of you parked on the white line or hanging over, even slightly and send you a parking fine for £100. Nit worth the visit especially if your a trades person or have a large van or car.

   This B&Q is very local and in a nice, handy location. They have a wide range of, well, everything! Personally I go in here for small bits and the occasional large purchase and all most every time they have it.

   I can’t recommend one of your staff members enough — Jack! Jack, who works on the cutting wood machine (sorry, I’m not sure what it’s actually called) this weekend (8th and 9th November 2025), was super helpful, understanding, and patient with me when I was buying wood to be cut to size. He greeted us with a friendly smile and was just a genuinely great employee. He even remembered us when we came back the next day, which really stood out. That kind of attention to detail made us feel valued, and not just like another number. It truly felt like he cared and wanted to make everyone’s experience worth the visit; not just us but also from observing how he helped others too. So thank you, Jack! You definitely deserve to be employee of the month (if that’s something B&Q does!).

   I hired B&Q to manage a full bathroom supply & install to avoid dealing with rogue traders. I paid ~£13,000. B&Q’s appointed installers paused the job shortly after starting and demanded ~£3,000 extra for pipework/fittings that B&Q “don’t deliver”. A 1-week job became 1.5 months. Within 3 months of “completion” a leak appeared that damaged the floor and a supporting beam. To get B&Q to even look at it, I had to pay out of pocket for independent specialists to take photos/videos and confirm the leak was caused by the installation. It then took around 18 months for B&Q to arrange a contractor to address the initial damage. Two years later, the installation is still not up to standard and I’m still disputing compensation and proper repairs. This has cost me time, stress, and money —on top of the original price and the mid-job add-on. I expected B&Q to take responsibility. Instead: delays, poor workmanship, and a complaints process that drags on. I wouldn’t recommend B&Q bathrooms.

   Now this is a tricky one use to be a very big shop with large selection of items a d tools. They now gone through a restructure and made it smaller as Aldi is going next door. Please be aware it's now much smaller and selection is now as big as before.

   Large DIY store that supplies just about everything that a diy enthusiast could hope for. As well as a garden centre with a great choice of plants also a range of garden fencing and garden sheds. Highly recommend.

   Went to get keys cut. 3 keys for a tenner. Great value. Better than timpsons. Timpsons charge 8.50 per key or 2 for 12 quid . Nice staff and ended up buying 90 quids worth of products. Well worth the money and experience. Little man enjoyed it as well and staff were very happy for him to try out all the demo bathrooms and kitchens.
