   This used to be table service, it has changed to a serve yourself cafe. There is no menu available so you have to ask the staff at the counter what is in the sandwiches and what are pies/hot food options. A blackboard menu or similar would be beneficial. Food was mediocre at best. I had a light lunch as part of a spa treatment package so not sure how much it would cost usually, but I don't plan on coming back and I won't be opting for a spa package with light lunch in future.

   Without doubt the worst dining experience my two friends and I have ever had. We ordered a cheese/ham toastie and 2 open prawn sandwiches. We had to wait 45 mins to be served and another hour for the food to be delivered to our table. At 3.45pm we got our coffees! Overall exceptionally poor quality food and was like something a child would conjure up. The staff were doing their utmost to deal with the diners but TWO staff on at such a busy time of day is not acceptable to staff or customers! It’s time to employ more staff that is if you want your dining room to be filled with happy diners!! We won’t be back and wouldn’t recommend The Lighthouse to anyone.
