I looked on Blacks website and spotted a top for my husband for Christmas so I popped in tho town (Hull) to buy. When I went in to the shop there was 3 female assistants. I asked one to point me in the direction of the Weird Fish mens tops. She replied with we don't sell them. I told her I'd see one on Blacks website so I showed her, they all looked at me as though I was talking Chinese. Not helpful at all. Ordering off the website would cost £5 so this customer will not be purchasing anything from Blacks. No wonder the shop was empty. You haven't got the garment advertised and your staff are miserable and unhelpful and if I could have given no stars then i would have.

I went in for some walking shoes, found a pair that said £125 but the sticker in the shoe said £69, I obviously thought they were in the sale. Took them to the till, they came up at £125. I said the price in the shoe is different but he want letting me have them at that price. I said as a customer I should get them at the price seen. So I left didn't buy the other item either and went elsewhere

Went in yesterday morning (14/12/19) store was busy and so we're the staff in general.
I wanted help to find something I had seen online and I asked a girl who was near the front.
I got told that they "didn't stock everything in the store that was stocked online but I can check if its abailable to order if you want"
The thing is I hadn't even finished describing what it was before she abruptly told me this in a very unfriendly way, she spoke to me like I was an annoyance to her just because I wanted help.
I was very frustrated by this but I needed a present so looked for something else and I found something, not the exact item I wanted but very close to it and bought it.
As I left the store I wanted to tell her what I had found but honestly couldn't be bothered with the effort-much like her really.
I always try to support the city centre shops rather than buying from the internet as I understand they need all the help they can get at the minute but I might have to think otherwise about this place as the level of service from this girl was really poor and the way I was made to feel like I was an inconvenience to her was appalling and not just that but her body language/her tone was just shocking.
Especially when she was supposed to be a supervisor, I know I should have asked to see a manager but what's the point as she probably wouldn't care anyway.
She was very slim, near the front and was about 5 6ish height wise. I hope for the shop's sake this was a one off but from what I've seen I highly doubt it.
If you want nice friendly old fashioned help don't bother with this place-well certainly if this girl is in any.
Even now I'm still annoyed about her, only thing that stopped this being a one star is the girl on the hull was very smiley (May be she should be having a word with the other girl or show how what a smile is at least)

I bought a waterproof jacket which was sold as ‘breathable’. On the label it said it would keep me dry on the outside and on the inside. It was not breathable and made me sweat profusely on the inside. I took it back two days after I bought it and the young supervisor had a very bad attitude towards me. I explained the situation and was made to feel like I was lying and being untruthful. That jacket was sold as breathable and it definitely wasn’t, it’s as simple as that. It was almost like she was expected to give me a refund out of her own pocket. I needed to sign a couple of slips and she banged the pen on the desk to show her disdain. I have 30 minutes for lunch and certainly wouldn’t have trecked across town if it wasn’t necessary. That young female supervisor was very rude with an unprofessional, unfriendly attitude and I’ll never spend my money in that shop again, nor would I recommend it.
