Great old school community pub. If you're new to the area and looking for a local, this is one of the very few left in which you'll get to know the people who live around you. Like any pub it very occasionally has its troubles, but that is very very occasionally. Fantastic landlady who will treat you with respect and grace as long as you show the same to her pub. I've drank and ate locally for over a decade and never felt as welcomed or as appreciated by anywhere else as I do here. The staff are excellent and locals are welcoming. It is absolutely not a "this is OUR pub" local, it's a "welcome to OUR pub, join us!" local. The only downside is that, like any traditional public house, they don't have a massive offering of food, but no one local comes here for that. We all come for the warm atmosphere, the live football they have on, the entertainments they book at weekends (DJs, live bands, comedians, even a phenomenally funny drag act at New Year last year!). There are very few pubs within 10 miles that can compete, especially if you get yourself a very affordable membership that cuts the price per drink significantly. This is a genuinely brilliant local, and it supports local community groups in fundraising and get togethers as much as it can. Brilliant place, it might not be the prettiest, it might not be the cheapest, but it absolutely is the warmest, friendliest, most community spirited pub in all of the Havant area.

Lovely pub excellent food. Amazing staff

Wanted a pint, got a pint. Bonus points for Madri and Starapromen on tap. One of the customer's little dog has anger management issues though. Also if you could move the pub about ten feet to the right and have it inside the ground, that would be super.

Had my 30th Birthday Party in the function room here and would highly recommend unlike a few pubs in the area this function room is fully secluded from the main pub, you have your own bar and staff which is perfect and just what you want when you are hiring for a private event. Ellie and her team where amazing from the moment I enquired. Very quick with responses to emails, texts and calls. No question was too much hassle for them. On the day the team were amazing especially Gary. He helped to carry things that were needed from the car to set up the function room, moved tables for us and even found screwdrivers to build my easel for my welcome sign. The bar staff were really friendly and again nothing was too much trouble for them on the night. The buffet was also prepared and made by the pub and everyone said how good the food was. I couldn't fault them or thank them enough for everything they did.
