Three very good cask real ale beers. Gold, Bitter and Landlord. Plenty of seating on a Saturday lunchtime. Rolls for £2 (match day) delicious. £5 a pint.

Simply one of the friendliest pubs in Southsea. The staff are friendly and serve amazing real ale. The atmosphere is like a traditional old pub. If you go on game day Barry serves up lovely cheese and onion rolls. Can’t wait for my next visit.

A very happy welcoming place to be. Beers and other drinks are a good selection, Wish they could add a dedicated Craft Beer fridge though.. They have a Pool Table/Darts, with great live Music from time to time.. A Great place to watch the Football and other Sports..

Nice and warm cosy back street proper pub, two bars smart and comfortable, real ale buffs will love well kept Timothy Taylor. Love the old Sherlock Holmes memorabilia and lack of TVs, this a great pub so lacking these days and a walk away from another good pub The Golden Eagle. Worth checking out. Update May 2024, still a warm welcome and great ale.

This pub is great. All staff are incredibly welcoming and there is always a great atmosphere. The pub has two main areas , one, more quiet front area for that relaxed point and a larger area on the otherwise of the front bar, with a pool table and day board. Regular events are held and the pub benefits from a large enclosed garden with cover

Really decent boozer. I've never really spent much time here, however recently I've had a lovely few evenings down here. The bar staff were welcoming, the pub was clean and tidy, and the ale was on par. My only criticism is the lack of selection of real ale. The night I visited it was either Timothy Taylors (wasn't too bad actually) and Langhams Arapaho, which was lovely to see. Worth noting that the atmosphere was pleasant on a weekend evening, no coked up nippers doing your nut in! All consider I'll be visiting a lot more.
