We went for Sunday roast and had a really lovely experience. The restaurant is dog friendly, with a great atmosphere and very friendly staff. The beef was incredibly tender and full of flavour, and the sides were also very good. The roast potatoes could have been a little crispier, but that seems to be a common issue almost everywhere. Overall, a very enjoyable meal and we would happily return.

Such a terrible lunch. Decided to have the "sharing nachos with a side of brisket. What a disappointment. It was basically a bag of tortilla chips with a spoonful of chilli and dips that cost £22. My 4 year old grandson's burger was the size of a canape/slider, so small. He complained that he was still hungry. We were having a nightmare scanning the menu, but then asked the bar staff if we could order at the bar and he said "no scanning would be better". 20 mins later, I asked someone else and was told, yes you can order at the bar. We were given no menus at the beginning, such bad and disinterested service and staff. Horrible place, will not go here again.

Ordered a burger with chips with bacon. Order came to £20, chips were okay but burger was completely burnt, the bacon was burnt, the bun was burnt, the burger was so overcooked, I would have asked them to make it again but I was so hungry I couldn’t be bothered. Disappointed as I’ve had food here before and it was decent. Looks like it’s gone down hill, I will not be returning

We recently visited and ordered the steak, trout, and chicken wings. While the steak and wings were enjoyable, the trout was quite dry, and the side dish was overcooked. On a positive note, the atmosphere was very pleasant, and the restaurant was clean and well-maintained. Overall, it was a decent experience, but some improvements in food preparation would make it even better.

Second time here and soon to be back for a third! Lovely pub with so much to offer with seating and space. Kids are very much welcome here with a great garden space and playground. The food here is beautiful. The beef Sunday roast was a highlight with scampi and chips proving a winner, too.

Long standing regular for regulars in the community and visitors alike. Always a great atmosphere and a dollop of good food too.

Came here for an impromptu Sunday roast after a walk. We arrived a little late around 4.30pm and they were still serving roasts thankfully. Wasn't too busy and decided to make use of the outdoor seating area whilst we still can before winter. Fantastic roasts. Nice thick bit of pork with crackling. My partner had the beef, nice and pink still. Couldn't fault it!

Excellent quality food. However disappointed with the service. Despite having a waited table, we had to pay upfront for everything. Want a drink? Pay first, want another portion of chips? pay first. Gets annoying when there is a large group. In addition they wouldn’t swap chips for sweet potato chips despite both portions costing exactly the same as a side. Would return, just not in a group.

Two things that made this a great place to eat. 1. They're not just dog friendly but welcome dogs with open arms. 2. The food was really good. It wasn't a huge menu but still had plenty of options. And finally, the staff were really friendly and welcoming.....wait...thats 3 things

Visited here this afternoon (Friday) with my 13 year old son after a local hike with the dog. The facilities are lovely and well maintained. Beautiful garden and outdoor covered seating area. Everything was very clean, including the toilets. Food was good with plenty of choice and not too expensive. Staff were fabulous. Very polite, welcoming and no request was too much. Even the dog got a fuss and treat. Haven't been for few years but will definitely be making it a regular pit stop from now on. Thank you for a lovely lunch!
