On a High Street. Lovely old building with tales of hauntings. Bar not always open but plenty of notices saying when. This is a 2* property - my room had everything i needed and was very warm.

It will be the first time I have given a low marking on accommodation. The introduction was vague. Room not ready but we let that go. Very clean room. I must say. Bed mattress springs could be felt. Vague on entering premises after hours. Given a code to get in via back door. No light could not see back door. Luckily a staff member was leaving when we can back and roughly showed us how to get to our room. No staff on site after we arrived at 2000pm (ish) could have help ourselves to the bar. If anything had happened over night there was no one to help. In the morning by 0900am still no one. Then we couldn't get out. All back doors were not only bolted inside but locked from the outside. It was only by chance that the front door had bolts on the inside plus the yale lock had been used. So yes it was a first to say the least. I'd some company could spend a few pennies on the hotel modernised it, it could be a lovely place to stay. Its the only one in the village.

We went as a family of 9 for a meal here. Although it was booked, our table wasn't ready, but the tasty meals made up for this. It was a friendly place, with a confusing menu. Outside, it says one thing, but the meal one of us wanted wasn't on the list inside. All the meals chosen came exactly as we requested and were all delicious, with big portion sizes, more than expected for the money.

The Bugle Hotel is a great place to stop if exploring the area by motorbike. A secluded yet monitored carpark is available. The building is old, and the room shape and size reflects this, but the ensuite and facilities are good, and everything is provided, we even had a fan available for use. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The team are really friendly and helpful. I would recommend a stay.

We booked the function room for a family occasion and could not have been happier with the experience. Communication in advance of the day with Natasha was fantastic, with wonderful attention to detail. Nothing was too much trouble :-) One of our guests has food allergies and I felt highly reassured when I had the opportunity to relay menu options and allergens in advance to Chef Stuart in person. We were even offered alternative swaps, which we were not expecting. I dropped a cake off the day before, which was really convenient, and saved a lot of stress too! On the day, all of the staff were extremely friendly, welcoming and efficient ….and we could not have had a better time in our own private space. The room was decorated and prepared perfectly. The food was absolutely delicious and surpassed all expectations (lovely menu by the way). Natasha was incredibly attentive, regularly checking that we had everything we needed. Stuart also popped in to check that we were completely happy with the meal, which was very appreciated. We played music through the speakers and used the projector to watch a slideshow from my laptop (a lovely bonus nostalgic opportunity) Thank you all again (especially Natasha and Stuart) for a marvellous experience. We really appreciate you going above and beyond to make our day stress-free, memorable and totally enjoyable. I highly recommend ‘The Bugle’ for a special occasion…. or even just a meal and/or drink or two. You will not be disappointed!

Lovely staff. Room and en-suite really clean. Lovely crisp white bed linen. Great tea and coffee making facilities and my favourite Border biscuits! Superb location in the middle of Titchfield Village. We didn't stay for breakfast as we didn't have time, but judging from what we saw, we missed a treat. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place.

Stayed 14.1.23, the room was really clean and looked newly decorated. Staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was included and was very generous. There is parking behind the Bugle which was handy. Would recommend and will stay again.

Imposing Building standing in the centre of the High Street with own parking area to the rear and short stop in the road outside. Cheery and bright. On e of the focal points for locals in this quintessential English Village.

Stopped over for a few pints, staff were great. Restaurant got full around lunch time, the hotel is situated in a small village so parking may be a difficult. As a local walking to the pub was easier. Both restaurant and toilets very clean, kid friendly as well as pet friendly.

Lovely hotel. Idea location in centre of the village. A pub with a long history and some interesting connections with the surrounding area. An old hotel with sloping floors and slanting walls - pleasantly and charmingly qwirky. Great atmosphere.
