Right from the off - I totally recommend this place. Parking is just up a little hill from the paid car park, so it is free, I got there at midday on a Sunday, and straight in. Sofas in the bar area to wait. Lots of boxes all over the corners, which is the only reason Atmos is 4 stars, not 5. Second thing to say, reviews are negative about the bathrooms. **They have been redone**. I think recently as can sort of smell "fresh tiles". New sinks, all stainless (no pic as someone was in there so felt wrong). But assurance, bathrooms are clean and no wobbly taps!). When I got to my table, it was just cleaned, all damp and shiny. Got my food - various plates to try things. All a very good temp. One of my plates was mucky, so got a fresh one, and that plus my soup bowl very quickly taken away. Various things to try. The Fruit Salad is FRESH fruit - not tinned (that's a big bonus). Plus the ice cream machine was working very well. Again, would definitely recommend. I will certainly be returning. Some small bits of advice to the owner: Might be better if the napkins were by the Cutlery. As you get your plates from one end. Your Cutlery from the other, and the napkins are at both ends. Just nicer if they were together. Boxes in the bar area... get rid. Not the best look when you first walk in. And not sure if it's right to charge 50p for a small jug of tap water. These are all tiny gripes. Everything you may have heard about mucky floors or the bathrooms etc... for me, ignore them now. Price was £11.50 for the buffet. Good value, considering how many things I tried (could never do that with a takeaway). The chicken and sweetcorn soup is really good as a starter too. There were children there with families. It does start to get a little noisy, but you soon adjust. Don't let that put you off. Food is better than I expected. Place is cleaner than I expected (from the reviews...). This was my first time there. Recommended. Whatever was wrong before, isn't wrong now, so far as I can see.

My first time here, hope it's not my last. There was quite a long queue at the bar/till but it soon went down. Very reasonable at £13 per adult. No frills restaurant, with basic table and chairs but the place was buzzing, always a good sign. We were shown to our table for 2 with a nice view of the lake with ducks and swans. There was a myriad of tasty looking food on the servery, which has 2 sides, also sweets. I ended up going up twice to tty almost a dish from each side. After 2 plates, I was so full up. I couldn't fault it, all the dishes I tried (about 90%) were very tasty and delicious. Highly recommended whilst you're in Cleggy!

The oriental express was recommended to us by some friends who visit 3 times a year. We felt the place was dirty, staff stood around and customers didn't know what they were doing. It was an expensive visit and the food was not to par, chewy ribs, soggy spring rolls, and the rice was stodgy and tasted old, chicken balls could have been used as hockey pucks. The whole place needs a refurbishment, tables had wear from lots of use, everything just seemed under cared for. The best food was the pork king po, noodles and chicken wings. I felt ashamed to be leaving so much food to go to waste but as you can see from the photos we left a lot and shall never return. Advice for the owner, if your charging money for top notch please provide top notch food. I really cant express how disappointed we were.

I've been here about 4 times, each being good experiences with the food being nice and it having a wide variety of dishes to choose from. One thing I don't like is how the tables and chairs ire payed out as the space hasn't been used well. A lot of the tables are uneven and wobbly and when the restaurant is full, it can be hard to walk from the food bar back to your table as it's too crammed.

£12 for all you can eat! What could you possibly complain about? The food is good standard and a small but decent amount to pick from. Ice cream, fresh fruit salad. The place could do with an up lift and maybe think about cleaning the cutlery area boxes as i felt a little uneasy eating with them cutlery. I would go back

Don't expect a-la-carte. You will get a substantial meal for the price in the daytime. You can't go wrong especially if you are on a budget with a family for a buffet style meal. There is plenty of choice to go at and plenty of it if you are hungry. Even for those not fully into oriental food. Amazingly for as many years as I can remember the sausages have been a favourite pick to put on the plate with other choices. Nice views over Cleethorpes Boating Lake. Adults only £9.50 for meals. Young children £4.50 at time of writing during the daytime until 17:00. All drinks reasonably priced.

Polite staff Lack of food even though it was tea time 4.30pm Food was cold and dried from where it had been sat for some time. Price was ridiculous considering what was available to eat. This is not the place it was a couple of years ago! It's almost like a ghost restaurant. Even the variation of food has changed ( no longer a small Indian curry choice ) I think covid times has hit this once thriving buffet restaurant and they need to shape up or close down to be honest.

The worst I’ve ever been to in my life. What a sad excuse of a buffet very limited menu. No duck. no prawns. No seaweed. No salads. Stale dry noodles and a couple of basic dishes. The whole time we were there no chips were available. They have one lad running the whole thing. Bar, payments clearing tables and re stocking. Show me how tight the owner is reflects on his food and staffing. I’ve been to £4.99 buffets better than this. What was available had no flavour. Even the ice cream for the kids is just one flavour ice cream no sauces or sprinkles. Nothing tasted as it should. Very very bland and odd stale taste to it. The whole buffet is about the size of a the salad bar at any other buffet you will Visit. The drinks were flat too. They also charged us full price as apparently the early price on the website doesn’t exist anymore. Please avoid.
