Excellent family friendly venue, where you're made to feel very much at home. Dog friendly in certain areas. Very good value for money, since finding this venue we're eaten several times, mostly Sunday lunches but also have eaten on an evening as well
We stopped off here on our travels as we were away, as it looked a nice pub from the outside, how right we were. Lovely pub, nice atmosphere, felt friendly and welcoming, we only planned to have a beverage but as we had been out all day, decided to have some food in there too, we opted for sharing plates and honestly they were spot on, we went for the 5 option, and honestly, huge value for money! Lovely presented and very nice tasting! If you’re passing by this pub on your travels, pop in, I really enjoyed the vibe, and it’s dog friendly which is a huge bonus for anyone who is away with their fur baby! If we ever venture this way again from sunny Wales we will definitely be stopping off again!
Three of us needed food before a long drive home on a very wet afternoon. We chose the Victoria because it had very convenient and ample free parking. I had the luxury fish pie with stir-fried greens, my husband had the steak pie with chips snd veg, my aunt chose the gammon with egg, chips, REAL pineapple and salad. The food was hot, clearly cooked to order, the portions were generous and the vegetables/salad were interesting; we were delighted with the delicious and very reasonably priced meals. Service was friendly and efficient. We wouldn’t hesitate to eat here again.
This was a great little find for us. The food was lovely, well presented and decent portions. It is nice and clean and a car park to rear, there was also on road parking to rear. This is a dog friendly pub/restaurant with a great selection of food available. It is all on one level, so disable friendly, it is also dog friendly too, with indoor and outdoor seating available. The staff were very polite and knowledgeable about what food and they served. Would definitely be going here again before we leave to come home and recommend it to anyone passing or staying in the area
Stayed for 2 nights , rooms perfect for our needs, large comfy bed, spotlessly clean and lovely hot shower. Very friendly and helpful staff. Had a meal on one night, which was really good. We had visited a few times last year and had a Sunday lunch there so we knew the food was nice. Great place in the summer too out in the beer garden. It was the monthly northern soul night when we were there, it was a good night. We will definitely go again .
This was a fantastic find in Hornsea. We had 3 Labradors with us and nothing was too much trouble for the staff especially the young barman. We ate lunch there, had lamb shank, creamy, gorgeous mashed potatoes and cabbage. It was delicious. We returned the following day for dinner and had mussels in a white wine sauce and a seafood platter. Both were really good. The chef asked what fish/shellfish we would like on the seafood platter and delivered what was requested. Altogether another enjoyable meal. I will recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Hornsea. Thank you very much, we will be back!
Sadly the bar menu was expensive and limited. Food wasn't great and we wouldn't eat here again. Staff are lovely but that doesn't make up for the food. House red wine is horrible and any other wine comes in a small bottle not by the glass.
Bobbed in after a walk with the dogs for a quick pint and decided to just try a burger to share as we wasn't actually eating but where glad we did! Absolutely exceptional burger, the bread the salad chips meat and onion rings all was just so tasty can't fault the quality of the food at all and so well presented!!
