It’s one of them bars where you are always welcome and it as one of my favourite bars back in the 90s as I live in Newcastle now I always visit it when im back home one the best bars ever
Just wanted to shout out Ivan, who is clearly working so hard on a busy friday night, making sure we got water too. He served us every time and was not only speedy but friendly and helpful. Thank you ivan❤️
Terrible pub stay far away. Felt very unfriendly and unwelcome, security on was rude to our family we get it's his job but it wasn't like we falling all over or slurring words or being loud that we would completely understand, and if that was the case we wouldn't be going into the pub. No need for him being rude from now on will be advising people to not bother with this pub
The masters Bar is a nice attractive traditional pub. There is a wide selection of beers and lagers, but sadly no cask conditioned real ale. The beer is probably the cheapest in the town John Smith's £2.50 a pint and Incredibly only £2.30 Monday to Friday. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, it's only a small pub so there is no room for a dart board or a pool table. Up the spiral staircase there is another nice seating area and another flight of stairs leads to the toilets. If you're not bothered about cask conditioned ale, then definitely give this pub a try. I really enjoyed my visit.
Very nice and friendly pub. Ideal for a quick drink before travelling home.
To be honest it's my least favourite place to visit I only go there because my brother from an another mother goes there but I'd rather not..
Went there after a visit to the comedy lounge, it was very popular and lively but was able to walk straight upto the bar for service, a good end to the night.
A very nice city centre pub with beer at realistic prices. Friendly and efficient bar staff, my only complaint was that the seating area fills very quickly and I didn't fancy drinking outside. I would rate it 8/10 but would have given full marks if I could have found a seat.
