A proper old school relaxed pub, I really enjoyed the Theakstons Mild on tap and only wish it was my local here in London!
Swear I review this place already as the stars are still there but eh ho… The County is up there in my books. The staff and landlord are fantastic, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The beer is top quality, and with 50p pool, it’s a great place for a game and a drink. Plus, its location next to town makes it an easy go-to spot.
One of those pubs that really should be preserved as a world heritage site. Doubt much has changed in there since the 80s at least. Perfect!
The county is a great unspoilt traditional pub on the corner of Francis Street. On the edge of the industrial area of Hull and with a lot of housing nearby it's great for a drink after work and a proper community pub. Lovely friendly welcoming staff it's a nice cosy pub.

Fantastic night out but not for the faint hearted. Barmaid, Dot I believe, is old school and the life and soul of the party on a Saturday night. The landlord keeps his Bank's ale in wonderful condition, as good as in Burton. And guess what ! people actually engage you in conversation, and have interesting stories - not even a mention of Love Island. This is definitely part of what I consider to be a real, and sadly diminishing, part of Hull's cultural heritage. Here's to The County, long may you continue.
