Just had Christmas lunch here. The food was well cooked and delicious. The service was excellent. The staff are so attentive and friendly. Even better was the Christmas special for pensioners. Half price. I would highly recommend this place.

Re-visited this place with my family for a Sunday lunch again. We'd been previously and weren't bowled over but in the interest of fairness we gave it a third chance before leaving feedback. The landlord was serving at the bar and he didn't seem very enthused that we'd brought our business to his establishment (he actually seemed fed up to be there and miserable!), but the serving staff who attended our table were friendly and polite. The food itself wasn't great and some of the plates went back with uneaten food. The meat eaters in our group said the meat was a bit dry, like it had been left out for some time after being cooked - which they realise is an unfortunate occurance with a carvery if everything is cooked well in advance. The vegetarian in our group was baffled by a slice of quiche with Sunday roast trimmings, and gravy. When asking the serving staff what kind of oil the roast vegetables were done in they couldn't answer so it was safer not to eat them. The vegan in our group had an option of soup or nothing, and they said it was bland colourful water. This is the third time we've tried the food here, we wanted to give the benefit of the doubt in case the other times were just bad luck. After 3 visits now with very little good to recommend we won't be back. Our dietary requirements aren't typical of every family, but we've had better experiences at other places close enough so they can have our business if we stop in this village again.

This place will never win any Michelin stars, however the staff were very friendly and helpful, and couldn't do enough for my dog and baby. The food was basic but nice and plentiful. The only criticism I have it there were no hand pump on for the beers, but there was an IPA that was pleasant enough.

This is a public house not a hotel. The sign outside said open for food so we thought we'd give it a go. BIG MISTAKE! We found the staff very rude and unhelpful. So left and went elsewhere.

Spent a few hours here for a celebration of life. Buffet spread was great with lots of choice. Staff were great and kept clearing tables as needed and as helpful as they could be. Will be returning for a hot lunch one day with family too.

The menu looks limited in the way it's laid out, but some nice options. But don't judge the quality of the food on the menu presentation. I had the chicken burger and it was easily one of the best I've had from a pub. Homemade chips and coleslaw was a 10/10 for me. Staff were friendly and welcoming and for a Sunday afternoon it was quiet, relaxing and peaceful.

My wife and 5 friends visited for an evening meal and were very disappointed. They booked for 630pm and arrived on time. Their meal was immediately ordered but was not brought until 750pm and was not up to standard. The chef was called and agreed with the cmments made.
