   Very traditional old and well known pub with friendly staff & locals, hand pulled beers, masses of historic pictures & memorabilia from Hull & the 3 main professional sports teams on the walls. It's like a step back in time........such a shame therefore there's plans to unnecessarily revamp it. Someone needs to remember the phrase "if it ain't broke don't fix it!"

   Cracking pub, great beer selection and distinctive homely surroundings. Well worth the short walk out from Hull old town (10-15 mins max) We understand the current operation are coming to the end of their tenancy. If the freeholder and anyone else involved in the running of the pub are reading: If you have any sense at all, you'll retain this absolute gem as it is.

   This understated pub offers a wonderful mixture of heritage (it's been licensed for over 200 years) with a modern selection of keg and cask beers displayed on Untappd screens (and blackboards). The beers have been well curated, cover a variety of beer styles and there was some decadent options from Brew York. Friendly atmosphere, informal and absolutely worth the walk from the centre of Hull. Really quite marvellous and clearly very well managed.

   Travelled a long way to get their Drunken Sailor untappd badge. Good selection of craft and cask beers. Staff and locals were friendly. It is a bit on the outskirts of town . They have a load of CAMRA awards for best Yorkshire bar on the wall so they probably are pretty good at what they do.
