We were worried as our dog had ingested a Christmas tart containing dark chocolate during the out of hours emergency period. We called first and they said to take her in, however, upon closer examination of the item she had consumed (from ingredients) they said she should be ok, and therefore only charged us for the active charcoal. We were so grateful for this kind decision, so please thank the team that was working 28.11.2025, as they couldn’t have been any more helpful.

Unfortunately my pet was taken into this vets after he was ran over by someone. And they rang to inform me. They had him for 2 weeks whilst i sorted his cremation through his insurance which was nice of them. But was not told there would be a Β£35 admin fee to fill up insurance papers. I spoke 3 different times with different people and was not once told about this also passed emails. However i contacted the main vets now and as a goodwill gesture they took the Β£35 off. Which was really thoughtful. I was then told they could give me a print of my cats nose - paws and fur to keep. I told them How it would be the best thing for me and id love to pick it up from them personally as i didnt live far. But i was reassured they will post it to me. Its been over 2 weeks, iv not got the prints or his fur. I rang to ask if they had sent it off and i was put on hold and then told it was sent 10 days ago. The lady on the phone told me to contact the courier service to ask where it is. Bare in mind they did not give me a tracking number or anything for me to do this, but when i asked which courier service she said she dosnt know. I felt my heart sink as this was the only thing i would have had left of him. I asked her to transfer me to the MK branch but she said as the person that posted it isnt in the office no one could answer the phone. I found this very upsetting and unprofessional. Its been in 16 days and i still havnt got anything through the post.

Excellent service from phone call to arrival and my 4 day pup was taken out the back immediately. Nurses and staff very kind,I left the vet with my pup and was advised he was too small for any pain relief, another one of my dogs had caused puncture wounds. All unsure whether he would survive but told mums milk was the best thing for him.He is still with us and doing well.I Hector mini daxie, thankyou. The only reason 4 stars instead of 5 is the price, his antibiotics cost 12 pence the bill was just over Β£180.00.

On Sunday my dog had a stick injury. VetsNow were amazing. Vets Maria and Caroline were great with him and me (who was extremely emotional) The nurses (whose names I didn’t catch) were so kind and made me feel so comfortable ❀️ They promptly referred him for surgery at Davies, they were clear about cost and gave me clear options and helped me to guide my decision. Very grateful for this service

I would just like to say thank you for your thoughtful card you sent to us regarding out pet Alex who we unfortunately had to put to sleep on Tuesday the 14th. I cannot express my gratitude to your practice enough in the way they handled this. they gave me as much time as I needed and both people could see that I was extremely upset. many thanks again Tobi

A very traumatic experience where my Staffordshire Bull terrier required emergency treatment for fluid within the abdominal cavity. Her vitals were not good. The vet was amazing. We were talked through a proposed treatment plan, starting with investigations and progressing to surgery within 2 hours of attending. This without question gave us future time with our much loved dog. We recieved post surgery updates and were incredibly relieved to bring our dog home the following day with biopsy samples for our ' day vet'. The day vet was impressed with the surgical closure on our dogs abdomen. The emergency vet was incredibly understanding and also gave us realistic potential outcomes which assisted our decision making process regarding, scans, blood tests, surgery and plasma transfusions. All this was delivered in a professional but very 'human' approach. We are extremely pleased with the high standard of care delivered to our dog. By no means were any tests or interventions unnecessary and the cost was surprisingly lower than anticipated. The best interests of our dog came first by the practice which was clear throughout. Thank you so much!

Great service provided at a cost by great vets out of hours, really give us peace of mind that should the worst happen then there is someone there and available. The prices are understandably high for out of hours services.. less understandable is the price gouging Β£25 "admin" charge to process an insurance claim.. by process, in our case it means uploading the notes they already have to our pet insurance companies online portal, against an online Pet Plan claim that I had to raise myself (as they couldn't/wouldn't). Hardly Β£25 with of arduous admin work...

So grateful the team were there on Xmas day. Long wait but more animals than vets so no complaints from me! The vet we saw was superb and stitched up a nasty wound on the dog. A lot of money but that’s expected! Dog is safe and well and insurance already sorted x

Vets Now provided Emergency Care for my pup when my regular vets closed for the weekend. My pup was critical having a foreign body lodged in his gut, severely dehydrated from vomiting, only just still with us. Vets Now completed the surgery successfully and stabilised him. Communication was excellent from the vets and reception. I received regular updates on his status with a plan. I was allowed to visit as he recovered and he was transferred back to my regular vets for monitoring. My pup survived and is on the road to recovery. Excellent service. Kind, considerate and excellent at their jobs. Would HIGHLY recommend.
