Terrible. Charged me over Β£400 just for some painkillers and for telling me my pet was about to die very very soon ,like in a matter of days (it was months ago, luckily they were wrong and I found a real vet that found the problem and treated it). Borderline scam rather than professional vets. Waiting time was also very long, reception staff did not care. The "doctor" was wrong and just had no idea what was going on. Avoid at any cost, just go somewhere else.

To say I am thankful for to the Team at Vets Now is an understatement. Unfortunately, our cat was involved in an accident with a car. She was mircochipped and taken to Vets Now. The team were incredibly compassionate, understanding and honestly as upset as we were. They treated her with the utmost dignity and respect and gave us some keepsakes to remember her by, which is going so far above and beyond its hard to put into words. Thankyou for everything.

Changing my review now (prev I'd given 4β begrudgingly because it wasn't great but I'd not had the stress I've had with them since) The only reason they have 2 rather than 1 is that they were available when I desperately needed someone and they did provide some emergency meds that seemed to help. The front of house team were completely miserable and showed no compassion or friendliness at all. Very little information was given when my pet was whisked away from me and taken out the back. The vet did seem good but we found out at our day vet that she'd not told us a lot of what they'd found. Main issue is the prices. My goodness, I know emergency care is expensive but it's taking the mick honestly. I'm so grateful a family member could cover the cost for me because they did insist on upfront payment instead of going through my insurance. They still charged a Β£35 admin fee for the insurance claim. The absolute kick in the teeth was it taking 3 reminder emails from the insurance company before we received any response. We had 2 claims processed and paid out for our day vet during the time it took to get one response from here. If I had any choice in an emergency I would avoid this place like the plague.

My partner and I came in with concerns about our rat. He was examined by Zack, who was extremely thorough and informative. It was eventually decided that due to our rats poor health and age, to euthanize. Zack was amazing, and was kind to us, allowing us time with our dear pet to say goodbye, and didn't rush us in our decision and goodbyes. I can't speak more highly of the support we received. Thank you!

I was very upset coming to the out of hours vet. I was really worried for my rabbit. I was kindly offered a warm drink and tissues. After sitting in The waiting room one of the vet nurses took the carry case with my rabbit inside without telling me what they were doing with her. This made me more anxious and I had to go to ask reception where she is and why Iβve not been allowed to go with her. Reception then informed me that they give animals time to calm down in a calm room before being seen by the vet. In future if they could warn owners where they are taking their pets prior to consultation it would be great. Then when we had the consultation with the vet he was amazing. He checked her throughly and was very understanding & knowledgable. It is expensive but I understand for the out of hours practise I canβt expect any less. I was satisfied with the care she received. Blossom was given meds for her illness however she sadly passed away a few days after at our local vet. Iβm grateful for the extra few days I received from the vet. RIP Blossom. You were so loved and adored

On arrival one vet was busy with another pet while the other vet was doing an emergency surgery but the lovely lady on reception took my cat, who was clearly in a lot of pain, straight out to be given immediate pain medication and to be assessed while we waited. We had to make the choice to let our beautiful 17 year old cat go. Our son was at a friend's party when the accident happened so hadn't been able to see our cat, they allowed me to wait in a room with Chucky while my husband went to get our son (a 25min round trip), then they gave our son time and space to say goodbye quietly without disturbing us before he was put to sleep. The care, compassion and understanding was perfect, they made a horrid, late Saturday night, vets trip very peaceful. I can't fault their care and would highly recommend them to anyone. Thank you for everything you did.

I came in when my dog bob sadly passed away. The staff were so considerate and caring and made you feel like it was personal to them. Hats off to the fantastic team at Barton as I only had 1 of my loved ones they must have multiple people loved ones pass and still manage to smile and get on with their jobs. Well done Barton and thank you x

We unfortunately had to visit Vets Now in an early morning emergency situation and they were fantastic. They handled a difficult situation with professionalism and grace. Communication was clear yet delicate and the care they gave was impeccable. Would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone and would be my first option for out of hrs care. Thank you for everything you did to help my pup.

I was put through to the practice because my usual vet was out of hours. My cat came home at 11pm and was choking, the receptionist was brilliant, she told me to come straight down to them. I was understandably very distressed and when I arrived the Vet was reassuring and kind, she took my cat away for treatment. She came out to advise me about progress and what was happening, in the end he had to be sedated and have the obstruction removed. I am completely grateful for the care given, he would have probably died if they had not acted very fast and I will eternally be grateful. I also felt that the practice was very good at updating me on how much money it would cost as the procedures went on. I was fortunate to have insurance and the practice was amazing at helping me to make my claim for the care my cat received. I could not fault their care of my pet, I would happily recommend them to everyone. Having said that, I hope that no one has to go through the stress of a cat choking. But if they do, I hope they are fortunate enough to have a happy ending thanks to Vets Now.

We had a fantastic experience at Barton le clay and whilst being so worried about Daisy our Beagle and our own vet could not take us they recommended you and thank goodness they did and whilst everything was explained, good and bad, your staff and vet were so supportive. I am so grateful after being with you for a few hours We weβre able to take Daisy home and carry on caring for her, as of today she is virtually back to her normal naughty Beagle ways. Thank you I cannot recommend you enough. Anne Lauren and Daisy Castle
