Nice clean and very quiet given the location which is a great location right next to the station. The staff were lovely, helpful and kind. The lift from the Premier Plus floor going downward was not working when we were there so we had to find the stairs. Not ideal when you have arthritis… It was raining very hard the night we stayed and water started pouring through a light fixing in the restaurant. They said it had been doing it for a while and had been reported… Let’s hope these issues have now been fixed.

Stayed here at the end of September for 1 night. Lady at reception was fantastic! As soon as we stepped out of the lift she was there and ready to attend to all of our requests! Didn’t catch her name but she was wearing glasses with dark hair! She needs some sort of appreciation for her hard work because she was absolutely brilliant. Customer service skills were outstanding! Room was lovely! The smell when we walked through the door was fresh and everything was super clean. I’m a housekeeper at another premier inn and I was extremely impressed! Coffee and tea is just outside the lift on floor 1 so you don’t have to go all into the restaurant and reception to get what you need. Absolutely loved this hotel! Will 100% be staying again. Thank you premier inn!!

Very satisfied with the Premier Plus room – great value for money. The hotel is very close to the main train station and within walking distance to the outlet. They also offer short-term luggage storage, which made our trip much easier. All the staff we interacted with were very helpful and friendly.

We were greated by the wonderful Josh, who very kindly offered to check our room was ready before we went up, which I found very thoughtful. We had a family room and it was massive, the biggest room we've ever stayed in!!! Maybe because it was close to the lift and due to the design of the hotel, but we were very happy with it. Brilliant location, literally next door to train station and never heard any trains even though we could see them on the track outside the window. Also there is a shopping centre within 5/10 mins walk away and buses outside the hotel to take you around Portsmouth. The air con was very good. But the only thing with Premier Inns I notice is that they don't offer a late check out which would make it so much better for us, as they do an early check in so a late check out could be offered I feel. Also their hotels tend to have windows that do not open, so no fresh air can circulate. That's the only things that puts me off booking here more frequently. Also loved the fact that we could leave our suitcases when we checked out to pick up later and the staff were very accommodating about that. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely book here again.

At Premier Inn, I had a great stay, with friendly service and a comfortable bed ensuring a good night's sleep. The location was ideal for my visit to the theatre, and the meal deal offered an affordable dinner and breakfast menu. The room was spotless and had all the amenities I needed. Special recognition must go to Anne, who was both welcoming and a pleasure to chat with. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.

Great location Clean room. Very stuffy and no ventilation. Comfortable bed, clean comfortable linen. Only one chair which is hopeless. Excellent breakfast, kind, helpful staff. No access stairs to 3rd floor which meant reliance on the lift.

Stayed here for one night. The room was too hot and couldn't open the window. Room wasn't cleaned properly there was also a stain on one of the pillows. However got a good night's sleep considering this hotel is next to a train station. Only saw one member of staff the whole stay. And the fifth floor elevator wasn't working had to go down a flight of stairs.

If you like sleeping next to a train track this is the hotel for you. I knew it was near but didn't realise the hotel was a few feet away from the train line. Woken up at 5am, honestly grim night sleep & it sounds like an earthquake from your room. Shame as hotel was clean, staff seemed friendly and the bed was really comfy. Be warned. Stay at another central Portsmouth hotel.

From the moment I set foot in here the staff was pleasant and helpful. The room was clean with no unpleasant odours. You can control the temperature of the room and plenty of plug sockets. The bed was comfortable and the shower/bath was large. Plenty of space to move around and the desk was great so I could do some work on my laptop. It's in a great location 2 minute walk from the train station, coffee shop right outside and a variety of clothes shops and eateries all within a 5 minute walk
