   Me my mummy and partner stayed here the service was fantastic and the rooms were beautiful and my brother works here so he helped us. The location was good just in castlewellen the only thing I didn't like was the stairs

   A lovely welcome on entering. Great menu. The roast beef dinner was superb. Excellent service from attentive, friendly staff, who also offered tips for nice places to visit . Nice atmosphere and decor and very clean. Ample off road parking right outside. Overall a great experience . I will definitely return if I'm passing through again.

   We recently arrived for a family wedding at the Church across the road with 13 minutes to spare.. what better way to spend them than with a beautiful cold creamy pint of the black stuff. We were offered an extremely warm welcome from the staff member (possibly the manager/landlady) and received what I can only describe as possibly the best pint of Guinness I had in my week across Ireland. The only negative I have is that I didn't have enough time to try a few more and sample the delicious looking menu. Thanks for having us!

   The staff were super attentive and recommended me awesome beer. The steak ciabatta with pepper sauce was delicious, and it was a generous portion too. Cherry on top, they served my food freshly cooked super quick, and the steak was perfectly cooked to medium as requested. All in all, I totally recommend it,

   We have to this place a few times and have always been happy. When arrived after a walk this Sunday we were greeted by all staff really well. They were doing g a sharing platter for £18 with loaded cheese wedges, southern fried chicken, battery mushrooms and I think garlic bread. We asked could we just have battered mushrooms for a starter each. We were charged £7 each for 4 mushrooms each. £14 for 8 mushrooms. Unfortunately for us we'll not be returning.

   If you’re coming back from a walk, hike, run in the mournes and fancy a welcoming pub for a bite to eat, or a pint - this is a solid bet. The lady behind the bar is really welcoming, good conversation and was super kind to our kids. The food is a perfect range of hearty pub grub. Wouldn't look anywhere else to be honest.

   Stayed here for a night while visiting the area and family. A great place in a lovely scenic town Castlewellan. Room was relaxing, very clean, good value breakfast with lots of choices. Friendly and helpful service from the hosts. Would recommend for anyone holidaying in the area.
