Great visit. Main meals on offer and unbelievable value. Freshly cooked and really good portions. Food is provided by a franchise in the pub. Staff really helpful and polite helped out with gluten free options. Highly recommended. Thank you.

Visited today with my Uncle for a lunch. Great choice of menu. Even for me with my allergy to milk. I had Spaghetti Bolognese, I can highly recommend this and my Uncle demolished the scampi. Staff were very lovely, friendly and welcoming. A thumbs up from us.

We only had a drink and a meal here, but the food was excellent. There was plenty of choice, including a kid's menu for smaller appetites. The prices were very reasonable, and the staff couldn't do enough to help. They were very friendly, informative, and came to ask us afterwards if we'd enjoyed our visit - genuinely interested to find out if or how they could improve. We were impressed and will definitely eat there again when we return to the Island. The food was fabulous, the best we've had on the Island.

Avoid this place like the plague, worst experience we've had with a so called hotel. Loud music till all hours of the morning, smell of weed wafting through the hallway. People arguing, shouting and swearing early hours outside our room while we're trying to sleep. Loud music all night. Shame as the location is good as we would have been frequently using this hotel.

Just back from a fabulous 7day stay at this excellent hotel / pub, where the staff and management / owners are really friendly and kind. Great location with the beach a 5 minute walk away, excellent eateries all around the hotel. would recommend the crown 100% to anyone. Locals nice and friendly as well. Great sports coverage daily covering all aspects and sports channels. If you ever visit the island especially Ryde give the Crown a visit you will not be disappointed. Thanks to all at the Crown for making me feel so welcome every time i visit the Island. Look forward to seeing you all again soon.

Absolute nightmare. The room had broken glass in window, the window itself was propped up with a piece of wood. The curtains didn't reach the window sill so had to use clothes to fill the gap. Shower cubicle was practically pitch black if you pulled the curtain across. Strong smell of weed around the place. Then of course the music. Hell on earth. Non stop booming base for hours, shouting and swearing in the street outside. Then the great view of the churchyard out the window full of winos'. We got up early and went. Couldn't wait to go. £59 for the night. Jeez.

Bar Only. As a day visitor to the Island I popped in for a swift drink. It does look a little dated but the round bar and the hive of activity I saw putting up Halloween decorations overrode this. I was served by the manager who was friendly and generous. I would certainly return for a few more drinks some day. When the weather is good or bad, ideal for people watching on the busy streets outside too.
