   I would not recommend renting from Tullys based on my experience as a student tenant. From the day we moved in, the property was in unacceptable condition — the fridge, hob, and oven were not functioning, two out of three beds were mouldy and broken, and the house was far from clean despite being advertised as professionally cleaned. Throughout our 11-month tenancy, we experienced numerous serious issues including sewage coming up through the shower, mice infestations, and long periods without hot water. We also reported a strong gas smell multiple times and were repeatedly told there was no issue — until the emergency gas service was called and confirmed there was in fact a gas leak. Many of these problems took months to be resolved, and the overall standard of maintenance, cleanliness, and management was extremely poor. Despite leaving the property in a much better condition than when we moved in, Tullys still attempted to make unfair deductions from our deposit. Overall, my experience was highly disappointing, and I would strongly advise students and other renters to look elsewhere for accommodation.

   Terrible experience renting with Tully's. Multiple issues with the house throughout our tenancy (including boiler, bathroom ceiling) and have placed a massive cleaning bill on us despite our flat being only 2 bedrooms with no carpets! We even had a large, wet, greasy stain that was incredibly difficult to remove on our kitchen floor when we moved in and they are claiming that we left the flat in a significantly worse condition then before! Avoid Tully's at all costs.

   Disgraceful treatment of tenants. As a friend of two current tenants at Tully’s, I am writing on their behalf as I am absolutely appalled at the conditions they’re forced to live in. I don’t even know where to begin. There are no curtains or curtain rails, and the flimsy blinds offer no privacy and fall apart with the slightest touch. Windows don’t open or close properly, leaving the place either freezing or insecure. Tully’s staff have let themselves into rooms without warning or even knocking, which is a complete invasion of privacy and frankly unlawful. This isn’t just poor management — it’s harassment. The property is falling apart: none of the hoovers work, most appliances are broken, the hot water in the shower is capped, and even the “cleaners” who come in don’t actually clean. On top of that, they have a total lack of communication, but somehow always find time to throw extra, unexplained charges at the tenants. What makes this even worse is that this is a building full of students trying to start their lives — and instead of supporting them with basic living standards, you’re ripping them off, ignoring their concerns, and now planning to increase rent even further for next year’s tenants? So what — you charge more, deliver even less, and pretend it’s acceptable? It’s not. It’s exploitation, plain and simple. Avoid Tully’s at all costs

   I don't usually like to leave negative reviews, but I can't let things go on like this. My right to quiet enjoyment of my house was violated today at around 4 o'clock by a visit to my room without an appointment or entry with my consent. Additionally, it can be considered harassment under the 1977 Protection from Eviction Act. This is against the law and I won't recommend Tully & Co to anyone for this reason.

   The staff were generally friendly on the phone. However, persistent issues weren't addressed, maintenance and others came into my flat without notice on more than one occasion and I was charged an extortionate amount from my deposit despite leaving it cleaner than when I arrived. Just be aware if you rent from here that you need to mention every spec of dust when you move in or you'll too be charged a huge amount of money.

   The staff are extremely polite and respectful. When you make an enquiry no time is wasted in getting an quick answer back. This is important as a tenant you feel looked after. All the information on the tenancy agreement is concise and clear. I didnt expect a welcome pack and card signed by all the staff. In my world these small gestures mean a great deal. My heartfelt thanks goes to Amy and all the lettings team at the Southsea branch for making my move a pleasurable experience.
