   I went to watch a football game in Long Buckby but didn’t realise they would not allow dogs! So was so pleased when Collaton Kennels said they could accommodate my dog no problems for a couple of hours! Saved my trip thanks so much!!!

   Just picked up our 2 dogs after a week holiday, was worried as we hadn't left them this long before and hadn't used this particular kennels but both dogs seem to have had a good time and the place looked nice and clean. We got some pictures and an update halfway through their stay which was nice. Would definitely use them again

   We have just picked up our beautiful German Shepherd Dog (GSD) from Collaton Kennels. She spent her first week here. She went in a week ago without a backward glance to her mummy and was equally excited to see us when we got back. The staff said that she was a well behaved dog and not like other GSD. That made me feel so great. She smelled so good too, as well as her bedding was cleaned. So impressed with the staff too. They are so committed to caring so well for her. I highly recommend them. Previously my dog had stayed in another boarding kennels over the past four years and this was the best experience for my dog out of all of those.

   Well what can I say. These kennels are fantastic.... my shih tzu Alfie has been going to doggy day care since june and more recently went to stay for a few days and he loves it and is very well looked after. It is so reassuring to know that I can leave him with Linda and the team and not have to worry about him... thankyou

   Having happily used our local kennel for over 7 years, we were stuck when they were fully booked up during our summer holiday! We found Collaton Kennels and were very impressed by their website which included a lovely ‘meet the team’ section. As we have a slightly nervous terrier, sending him anywhere new will always be worrying. However, from booking to reception and collection, we have been so impressed. Not only do the staff and owners clearly take the time to understand the dogs’ needs, they went the extra mile in recent weather to ensure they were safe and cool. I must admit, it is a very good sign when your dog runs back to the owner on collection to say goodbye!! Although Collaton is a good half an hour drive from us, we will most certainly be back - thank you so much to the team for your care and effort over the last few days!

   My dog is, as we speak is with Weedon vets being treated by the nurses. I'm furious. I am tiered of people fobbing dog owners off, and having read the response to Gemma below I feel compelled to write something. My dog theo has been described as dangerous, dirty and lacks basic commands. More importantly he is that matted, he is being shaved and looked after by the vets as it is that bad. HE WAS NOT LIKE THIS BEFORE HE ARRIVED HERE..BELIEVE ME I HAVE PROOF.! Collaton, you can make all the excuses you like. Frankly, it's absolute shocking and neglectful. I was informed that my dog was at the kennels for boarding, not grooming..what an absolute denial of responsibility. FACT, with all your experience, surely you would recognise the severity of the implications of not grooming an OLD ENGLISH SHEEP DOG! Whilst in your care! When you walk past a living creature, knowingly that animal requires care, it is neglect and YOUR responsibility. We did not receive any calls and when we called you, you did not mention any issues! Infact we chose you, as you were as you put it, experienced! We provided you with the brushes.. which is a real kick in the teeth as they were your recommendations. You can make your excuses all you want, you neglected to provide basic care for our dog, I am absolutely devastated and stressed. DO NOT USE! THEY CAN NOT COPE WITH LARGE BREEDS I will be taking further action, this is not acceptable and I devastated. Theo was booked to stay in December.. I'd rather not work than leave him here! Now I will not tolerate any untruthful statements and will take action. I am still yet to receive an apology!

   This was our dog’s first visit, she was looked after extremely well and came home happy and settled right back straight away. It is obvious she has been very well cared for with lots of exercise and cuddles, thank you so much and see you again.

   It's a shame this kennel can't handle our young cane corso. After the first stay the owner explained he showed some nervous aggression and so suggested some shorter session to get him used to the environment. After the second one night stay we were told that they couldn't accept him back becaue of his behaviour towards the male staff. Our pup has never bitten anyone but does have a nervous disposition and unfortunately his size is against him. I appreciate he may be an intimidating dog if around unexperienced dog handlers but our experience of this kennel is that they simply do not wish to invesst the time to keep our dog at ease (again, he is young and yes very big but never aggressive). Don't send your dog here if they are A- large breed or B- nervous of a new environment as this is not what this kennel are able to cope with. No displrespect to the kennel, just not capable of handling these kind of dogs. We were also told we would get updates during the dogs stay- this hasn't happened in the 2 times we've visited. Overall a bit of a scruffy reception and impression that they don't want to invest alot of time into your dogs stay if they have some additional needs or consideration towards a first time visit/ away from family.
