A fantastic shop with a great selection of healthy plants, including some harder-to-find varieties. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to offer advice on plant care. It’s been wonderful working with them, and we’re thrilled to see our Botanopia products in such a well-curated space!

I am always looking out for additions to my houseplant collection so when we popped in here and my husband gave me his credit card so I could choose a late birthday present, I took full advantage! Great choice of plants and there was some more unusual ones which also caught my eye. Prices were very reasonable so in the end I walked out with three new houseplants! Lovely shop and friendly staff who answered my questions about care of one of the plants.

My favourite place to be! The plant swap is a genius idea and I’ve had some brilliant plants from there. I’ve never been able to keep any plant alive until I started shopping here, now my house is full of them. Lara and Ema are so friendly and knowledgeable. The workshops are a fab idea and a lot of fun. Also, has the most beautiful toilet I’ve ever seen!
I've been visiting Plant and Paint for just over a year now and every time I leave with fantastic plants, products, and advice on how to care for my plants once at home. I've also attended one of their terrarium workshops which was great fun (plus there was cake!). Lara & Ema are true artisans and passionate about what they do. Their range covers all budgets and you can keep up to date on new arrivals & workshops via the website and social media. They have recently launched an online shop where every item has a detailed listing and this must have been an epic task to write descriptions, care instructions etc. for us the humble patron. If you haven't found your way to Humber Street (or online) then you really are missing something so please give this local indepedent business all the support it deserves.
Best shop in Hull. I don’t know what I would do without it…. The owner Lara has curated a little gem on Humber Street. Lara and Ema are the friendliest, loveliest planty people that really know their stuff. Plant and paint is a must for anyone visiting Hull.
A fantastic shop with friendly staff, and incredible plant knowledge! The plant swap has been a great addition, and have never been disappointed with any of the plants I’ve bought from there. Spot on pricing, especially good value compared to other places! Dog friendly and accessible toilet is an extra bonus too
I absolutely love this shop. Lara is incredibly knowledgeable about all her plants and they are always in tip-top condition. She's also so friendly and welcoming and sells a wonderful variety of pots, hangers, watering cans and misters as well as beautiful plants. Not to mention Annie Sloan furniture paint and all accessories. Cannot recommend highly enough.
