It was absolutely freezing in Screen 2 today. As we are in our late 70's I'm sure we were at risk of hypothermia it was so cold. Certainly not very welcoming and I don't think we will bother to go back there Our local cinema is so cosy and warm and respects older people's needs so that's the place to go.
Always enjoyed Parkway for choice, nibbles and experience. However, today, what a joke! Considering the carpark is for 'PATRONS ONLY' I had to drive round TWICE to find a suitable parking space because of everyone from the gym club across the road! Including me being honked at by one of them as I waited for a space...occupied by another GYM GOER, who told me " Five minutes!" Not impressed, this needs dealing with...
Film was great in 3d (Tron)! Snacks were lovely and the cinema is clean from the screens to the toilets. Sean and Paul are amazing and so friendly. Definitely worth a visit if you’re around.
Terrible prices. Not clean, even the screen was dirty. You could see all the dirty marks on screen while watching a film .. My boy even noticed it .. £50 spent in total . Would have been cheaper and better experience getting bus to hull and going to there better cinema experience!!!
3 stars purely due to location and frequency of buses if you take public transport that is. Staff are always casual but kind, good mixture as you don't want formal professionalism just before your film. Classic cinema prices for the food but that's where they make their money. Popcorn sizes are good for the price compared to others.
There was nothing wrong with my experience as such. It was more the comfort of the seats. We watched Avatar 2, and sitting in those seats for over 3 hours wasn't the comfiest, other then that it everything else was fine. The ladies serving were very polite. I've been here previously also and haven't had any issues :)
Great experience, comfortable seats, good food (for cinema food). The film quality was awesome (we watched in 3D) and the sound was great. I've no idea why more people don't go, I was in on a 3.30 showing and I think there was maybe 20 people in there. Shame, great place.
Went to go see Avatar yesterday first time I've been to the cinema since loosing my eyesight 3 years ago. The staff were lovely and very helpful and the audio description headset worked a treat. Will definitely be returning. Thank you parkway.
Have visited here on many occasions. Each time I visit the staff are always super friendly and supportive. They take advantage of the meerkat movie promotion on Tuesdays and Wednesday perfect for taking the kids. Plenty of food and drink is available inside prices are fine what you'd expect from a cinema to be honest. A large free car park is also available.
