Stayed in the dovetail lodge. 3 adults 2 kids. The lodge was clean and spacious. Hot tub was lovely. The setting around the lakes is beautiful and so peaceful. Got the log burner up and running and it heated the cabin thoroughly. Hornsea beach a short walk away. If I had to pick a negative it would be there was no aerial cable for the tv but honestly that's trivial. Would definitely recommend staying here if you want to relax. Will be booking again for next year.

We stayed in the oystercatcher lodge which was generally very clean and well presented and rooms were spacious with plenty of storage. Kitchen amenities were enough but oven took quite a while to cook anything. With six kids in the lodge a washing machine would have been great but we managed where we had too. The setting is amazing, extremely peaceful and feels so isolated with some great views of sunsets and night skys. Kids loved having the ducks stop by each day. We had no issues with the hot tub overall although some of the jets were intermittent but was a good addition to the lodge. Overall would definitely recommend for family stays.

Lovely area we stay but unfortunately when we got arrived and found that hot tub have no support cover which you need two people to open the cover. The microwave have some rust. The refrigerator have E6 which is chilled door was become a bit frozen. Have be load report to service. But nothing be change since then. It was use HAVE offer barbecue but at arrive they be told to pay £15 for package of barbecue not free!

A lovely comfortable lodge, very clean, in a wonderful peaceful location, miles away from London, which is a real plus as far as I'm concerned. It did appear as if someone may have sat on the couch before but that's what a couch is intended for. We did a little research before booking our stay so we knew what was around before we arrived. I consider it to have been excellent value for money. Of course, what one person considers good value may not be by someone else. Always worth bearing in mind.

Fabulous lodges on a great site, in a lovely little village not far from the beach. A lovely, peaceful, relaxing stay. The reason I've given 4 out of 5 stars is that the hot tub could not be used on our first night n we were only there 3 nights. I appreciate this is mentioned in the booking but it's the first time it's happened to me and I've stayed in many places with hot tubs! Otherwise a great break away.

Recently stayed here for 3 nights and it was lovely! Great location, Hornsea seafront is only 5 mins away by car and there's a Tesco about 3 mins away so handy for supplies. The Lodge itself (Dovetail No.5) was very spacious, well equipped and had nice relaxing views of the lake. The Hot Tub was fantastic and my little one especially enjoyed the colour changing lights. I had read some reviews that the Hot Tubs aren't that warm but we found ours to be just right. It clearly states when you book (and it's in the welcome booklet too) that the Hot Tub won't be upto temperature the first night due to them changing the water from previous guests so we left it the first night. Perhaps that's why it wasn't a problem for us? The staff were very welcoming and friendly. We will definitely book to stay here again. Also, the ducks are very friendly and will be your best mate if you feed them some porridge oats! :)

Superb place! Its so quiet and peaceful. There are paths to get to the sea cliffs for an easy walk into town. The lodge was clean and tidy with everything you need for a week. The hot tub was superb! We will definitely be going again. It's so good, we might even pick a different lodge every year for the next 20 years!
