My time with Deborah changed me, in a way I thought wasn't possible anymore. Her insightful intelligence, and ability to create a safe and secure environment allowed me to heal.. now I look forward to life, and I've noticed old passions have enjoyment again. Every aspect of life just feels better, I can't really describe it. I will never forget Deborah and how she helped me, and would reccomend her to anyone considering reaching out to explore talking therapies - thank you x

I can’t thank Deborah enough for the incredible work we’ve done together. When I started, I was in a very fragile place, now, I feel strong, grounded, and confident in myself and my capabilities. Together, we’ve uncovered and addressed the root causes of my trauma, and patterns of behaviour that have stopped me finding my true self, and that has been truly life-changing. If you're considering reaching out for support, do it. Don’t let fear or self-doubt hold you back, it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

Attending therapy with Deborah has been the best thing I have ever done for my mental health. In the time I have been seeing Deborah, often for fortnightly or monthly appointments, I have - overcome a number of hard, emotional situations & anxieties, found my confidence, & now feel empowered to live authentically as me embracing my life exactly as it is. Deborah makes me feel totally at ease during the sessions so I can just naturally be myself. She also provides real genuine support & wisdom & genuinely cheers on your accomplishments. Her perspective has been enlightening for me as I navigated numerous situations & I will be forever grateful.

Deborah’s help has been invaluable in helping me to finally find the real me who for years was lost, confused and very sad. My particular journey has been over seven months and my road I’ll be honest, has not been an easy one. However, with Deborah’s professional advice, and guidance that I liken to light in a dark place, it’s been a brilliant one. I could not have achieved or understood as much as I do now, without her help. It’s never too late to ask for help.

I started weekly therapy sessions with Deborah Prossimo in January and I would highly recommend her. I have found Deborah to be a compassionate person who listens carefully and without judgement. She is astute and notices the small important things I say and do. She provides a safe space where all my feelings are welcome and I don’t feel I have to apologise for them. The work is challenging but I find myself looking forward to each session!

Feed back for Deborah I have a knitted scarf as old as me. It looked in a sorry state, neglected and had lost a lot of colour. I was needing help with it. The Terrace introduced Deborah at the time when I was looking for a counsellor and I started meeting with Deborah just before Christmas. We looked at my scarf in the first session and Deborah agreed that it was kind of out of control. I couldn’t really find a beginning or end, it was just a heap of varying colours, with some frayed strands, some knots or holes, beautiful colours some hidden by staines. Some rows half knitted and then turned back, stitches dropped and ladders forming the whole length. It was in such a bad state that it gave me a constant head ache and sleepless nights. Deborah reassured me right in the beginning that it was a lovely scarf, that there was absolutely nothing wrong with it or nothing to worry about, but it really did need attention, some mending, some adjusting and reshaping and most of it a lot of love. That’s what we do when we meet we examine my scarf together. There are a lot of tears involved in looking at old stains and washing them off to reveal its natural beauty. Deborah offers her skills to help me look and examine old knots and persistently wrong stitches and patterns and how to adjust or mend them. I needed and still need to learn that I did actually not start knitting this scarf, but that I took it on and continued with it. Deborah helps me to look at it to see where someone had deliberately started wrong patterns and how I still follow them. She helps me to change some of the patterns and refresh and add colour. We look at old and new parts and Deborah often asked me to hold it to the light and look at how beautiful it is and how much work I have put in to make it so colourful and interesting and cosy. I wear this scarf every day, it still can get really very scratchy and uncomfortable, but then I still work on it and will do so until the end. I appreciate and value Deborah as a person and a fellow human being with a great sense of humour and a big smile and her natural compassion and empathy. And I value her as a therapist with a wide range of techniques and methods to address and understand and tease out all the things I bring to our sessions and I value her feed back and guidance. She does not shy away from challenging my thoughts and perceptions and beliefs she always checks out that she understood me fully, she helps me to connect and understand how my past has and is shaping my present and helps me to understand “that some of my patterns are really not helpful, some don’t even exist in reality”. She helps me to learn to love my scarf. Deborah and I agree on homework until the next session, I welcome having a clear focus. Deborah also always checks at the end of a session whether I want to meet again with her, it makes me feel free and unstuck, that every week I can decide whether the counselling session is still good for me. But she always keeps an appointment available every week which makes me feel really valued. I feel safe in Deborah’s therapeutic hands and heart and feel that it is a therapeutic partnership with clear forms and shapes. I would always recommend Deborah as a therapist.

I had a 1 hour full body massage by Sarah Sellick as a Christmas gift. It was exactly what I needed! I'm a rugby player and train as much as I can not only on the field but also in the gym, as well as working full time as a Landscape Gardener. Sarah's brief chat prior to the massage was to determine what I wanted from the massage so it can be taylor made to my requirements. Sarah is very knowledgeable and friendly and that was clear throughout the session. I would highly recommend going to see Sarah and will certainly be going back every 8 weeks!
