Life savers! 4 days before my wedding day I popped in to see if they could help me with scratches on my engagement ring band! So helpful and managed to get my ring looking new by the next day! Thank you

Absolutely appalled with the workmanship (or lack of it) with the redesigning of two very precious rings. On one ring, the stones which were replaced continue to fall out (twice over the last 2 years). The second ring was redesigned but the stones that were put in by Clarks have no sparkle and the ring looked different from what was agreed. I have since taken the rings to another jeweller who has advised that the claw holding the stones is the wrong size and the setting was very cheaply made and (possibly) soldered on very badly (so the joins are obvious). I have tried to communicate with the proprietor, who is continuously rude and won't accept there is a problem. She is now ignoring my emails. I went in good faith and trusted her suggestions and her promise to create a stunning ring with what I already had. The jeweller who I am having to pay to rectify the mistakes has told me whoever did this work has made "maximum profit" on this job!! I feel ripped off with the massively overpriced and shoddy workmanship. Disgusted!! Avoid!!

I was warned not to use this jewellers but I wanted to support a local business. I should have listened. I needed a ring to be made bigger. I had no idea what size it should be so they used ny existing rings as a guide but said they'd make it a bit looser than that size. It cost £120. I collected the ring and it was clearly loose but the lady in shop said my fingers were cold so would be OK. I tried it for 3 weeks but it is looser than other rings and spins around. I'm also scared it will get snagged. Went to shop today to ask for it to be adjusted a bit smaller but they said I would be charged as I said what size it should be. I didn't. I just took their advice. I will now go to a different jewellers for everything from now on who know about customer service.

I have had a very good experience with Clarks beginning with the lady behind the counter whose name I'm afraid I've forgotten to the excellent work that was done on the 2 rings I took in for repair and I also discussed with them doing another job for me this shows I hope that there work is very good.

Took my watch in for a new battery almost 3 weeks ago, still not available. Have been down 3 times to collect but store is still closed, No information available, wish i had not bothered, So much for using local shops, service is very poor!.

I would give zero stars if I could. I sent my watch in for a new battery costing £185 that I bought from John Lewis. When I returned to pick it up, the face was smashed! They said the watch wasn't working and put the old battery back in. I asked them to repair the face that they had smashed and they reluctantly agreed to do it. When I picked the watch up, the watch wasn't working so I took it back to John Lewis where I had purchased it and they sent it off for repair to the makers. It was just out of guarantee and when it came back the repair cost £69. On the repair sheet it said it had been damaged by the person who had tried to replace the battery! That was the repairer at Clark's jewellers! I returned to Clarks's and asked them to pay the repair costs. They flatly refused claiming they had not broken the watch even though I had paperwork saying otherwise and they 'had' smashed the face of my watch when trying to put in a new battery. I sought advice from The Citizens Advice bureau and they said I definitely had a case. I took the case so far and at each stage Clark's denied liability even though CAB said I had a strong case. I didn't pursue it to the last stage in the end because I became very unwell and had to be admitted to hospital and my priorities were elsewhere. I would say avoid this shop at all costs. They were so unhelpful, actually damaged a good watch that I had taken in for a new battery and refused to pay for repairs they had caused. I used them to support local business but would never and have never used this shop again.
