We had a fantastic Christmas afternoon tea at Healing manor today. Starting with a tastefully decorated restaurant and tables set with vintage China. The food arrived in two servings, first the savouries, everything was beautifully presented. The butternut squash soup served hot in a little teacup was really tasty, every bite of every savoury was delicious The sweets arrived on another cake stand. Scones with clotted cream and jam, panettone and a plate of the most delicate sweet treats, every one a delight on the taste buds. The novelty Brussels sprout truffle was to die for. Fantastic value for money, good service and quiet peaceful atmosphere even though every table was full. We will definitely be back

We recently held my Father’s Wake at Healing Manor, and I can’t thank Charlotte and her Team enough for everything they did. They were professional, compassionate and attentive from start to finish nothing ever was too much trouble. The room was set beautifully, and the atmosphere felt just right for the day. The food was absolutely delicious and received so many compliments from Family and Friends. It truly made a difficult day feel a little lighter, knowing everything was handled with such professionalism, and care. Thank you to everyone at Healing Manor for helping us give our Dad the send off he deserved. We are genuinely grateful.

We went for Sunday lunch. The restaurant was stylish and well serviced. The food was very good, and I say that with all honesty. Two course's for twenty eight pounds which is reasonable in this day and age. Staff good food good surroundings good. What more can you want.

We got married here on Halloween and it was the most beautiful day I've ever had. The staff were amazing. They were so kind and helpful and supportive. Everybody that we spoke to were just amazing. I cannot fault anybody or anything. It was perfect.

We booked our wedding at Healing Manor well in advance, and at first things started off positively. Our original wedding planner, Hannah, was lovely and helped us plan the key details such as guest numbers, ceremony location (the barn), and accommodation for our party. However, as time went on, communication became a serious issue. Around a year before the wedding, we started emailing to arrange a final details meeting but received no response. After several calls and voicemails, we were eventually told Hannah had left the business. This should have been handled proactively, but instead, we had to chase constantly — something that added unnecessary stress during an already pressured time. We were then assigned a new planner, Holly, and went through everything again, including confirming that we’d have use of the bridal suite for both the night before and the night of the wedding, due to the size of our bridal party. Once again, communication broke down. Emails and calls went unanswered until we were eventually told that Holly, too, was no longer with the venue. After asking to speak to a manager, we met with Rachel, who reassured us that everything was confirmed — including the bridal suite. Unfortunately, on the day before the wedding, I checked in to find we were given a small courtyard room that was completely unsuitable for getting ready with five bridesmaids, a flower girl, and a page boy. The brownies we had brought as gifts were even starting to melt due to the heat in the room. When I raised this with reception, I was told the bridal suite had been booked for someone else, and I was offered a slightly cooler (but still very small) room in the main building. I accepted because I had no other choice. We were given a complimentary bottle of prosecco, but it didn’t make up for the stress and disappointment. I had requested extra chairs for hair and makeup artists, but none were provided. My bridesmaids had to go searching for them at 5:30 a.m., and because of the cramped space, I missed out on the special “getting ready” photos I had envisioned. No one from the venue checked in on us until about 10:30 right before the ceremony. To be fair, the ceremony itself was beautiful, and the day ran relatively smoothly thanks to the staff member overseeing things. However, the accommodation was handled appallingly. Despite a planned break between 5 and 6:30 p.m. to allow guests to check in and refresh, many rooms still weren’t ready — even though the venue knew guests were travelling. To make things worse, my partner’s belongings were bagged up and moved without permission, even though he had paid to keep his room for the second night. My belongings were later moved into the bridal suite after the wedding — the bedding hadn’t been changed and used towels were still on the floor. When I emailed while on our honeymoon to express how disappointed I was, Rebecca from the venue responded in a dismissive tone, suggesting the issues were my fault for not “clarifying” the room — despite it having been confirmed multiple times. We were offered 20% off the room rate for the delays, plus a complimentary meal, but when we called in July to arrange it, no one ever got back to us. It’s now been three months, and still nothing. Healing Manor has a lovely setting, but the lack of communication, organisation, and accountability completely overshadowed our experience. For future brides — I’d strongly advise thinking twice before booking here if you want a stress-free, well-managed wedding day.

Your staff are a credit to you so friendly always smiling couldn't be more helpful I attended the wedding of Lauren and Robert crouch and from the moment I entered the hotel to see the venue, I was amazed, winter wonderland theme was stunning, down to Lauren and helpers and co op from your excellent staff, everything went like clockwork, food, service, nothing was too much trouble, staff worked so hard for a very long day, one lady I have to mention is your wedding planner that lady never stopped walking round picking up clearing anything that looked out of place for at least 12 hours that I witnessed, she deserves a very big thank you and a medal WELL DONE ,you have certainly got it all ,venue, staff, food, excellent, hope I have a second visit soon, here's to 2023 xx

Had an absolutely beautiful meal here with a friend. The food was fantastic and the staff were wonderful. The only issue was that because the car park is just gravel with no markers a load of cars (ourselves included) were trapped in the car park, seemingly some wedding guests had caused the blockage which is fair enough but when multiple people told the staff that we were trapped nothing was done. Thankfully someone eventually left and it opened a gap for us all to leave through.

Went for afternoon tea thought service was very poor. Had to ask for food after waiting some time no tea came had to ask for it when we had finished our savoury course. Thought that the price was not reflected in service. There were 8 of us and for the price we payed poor service have been to several other venue's had better service and price. Such a shame as surroundings are 1st class.

The simple things In life are the nicest. ★★★★★
Recently attended a buffet lunch at The Barn and not being familiar with Healing Manor Hotel was pleased to see ample parking although on gravel and could be problematic for wheelchair users or anybody with mobility issues. But… there is ample space for vehicles to pull alongside a paved area allowing easy access to wide accessible doors. Spotlessly clean with polite and profession staff and sensibly placed tables allowing easy movement around the room. Sandwiches with curled up corners covered in clingfilm? Most definitely NOT here. The buffet was of the highest standard I have ever experienced and would be difficult to matched anywhere locally. Just to make things clear. • I am a picky eater. • I live locally and have experienced a wide range of buffets. • I will not be receiving any reward for writing this review. • I believe credit is due only when justified. I do not have pictures to back up my statement as I respect people’s privacy. Very well done to all at Healing Manor Hotel. Long may you continue.
