Last time we use the full groom service with another staff is ok but this time we use the bbb service with the impolite staff and complain my dog is silly. When I pick up my dog I feel his hair is not completely dry. Actually I have been using this groom room for several times and now is time to say goodbye.
The ladies at the Groomroom are lovely. They love our little dog we take there and he is very comfortable. We had let our dogs coat grow long and we were apprehensive on getting him cut because we didn’t want him to lose his character. They did a ‘cocker cut’ on him. He looked so good and we were very impressed with his cut, so neat and exactly what we asked for. Came out looking handsome and with a wagging tail. 100% recommend.
AVOID, PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING .. My 80 year old nan had booked her 10 year old dog (who has been groomed all her life, recently old groomer moved away) to pets at home. We took the dog with my nan to pets at home today at 5pm for her appointment . Dog went in fine. Upon collection at 6.30pm.. My nan went in to get her dog. To be told by the groomer ‘there is a man looking for you’ ‘he will see you soon, he’s not happy’ ‘he didn’t like the shortness I cut your dog’ this GROOMER scared and worried my 80 year old nan, she didn’t know what was going on. She has come to pick her dog up . As I went into my nan, I was approached by a man (a member if the public) he was polite and informed me ‘ him and his wife had wife for the dogs owner, he had gone to the pets at home manager and filed a complaint too’ Him and his wife had gone to groom room to take their dog, they witnessed the women groomer, - raging the dog around , handling her inappropriately and calling her ‘a little bas***d ‘ . Himself and wife were very upset as dog lovers and couldn’t believe what they saw. So they took their dog back into the car and went into complain. They then waited for the dogs owner (my name) to collect the dog . When I had spoke to this man, he come to the groom room with myself. My nan became confused as the groomer had already pre warned her of this man complaining about the shortness of hair - which it was not at all! This created utter distress , a 80 year old lady does not need this. But this matter is not that, it is that the women WHO IS A GROOMER WHO HAS MEMBERS OF THE PUBLICS DOGS is treating dogs like this and it is abuse! As we left the store, my nans dog was in stress, she had runny rear end and tail between legs . When arriving home, my partner rang the store manager Amy of pets at home, who said the dog was unmanageable and the groomer admitted calling her a ‘silly little girl’ I questioned CCTV, which they informed there was no CCTV, so again me never if the public aren’t aware what abuse their furry family pets are exposed to , secondly Amy told me ‘the dog was unmanageable ‘ to which I explained they should of stopped if the dog was unmanageable, even though this dog has been groomed every 6-8 weeks since a pup and now 10 years old- never had a problem . And ‘I don’t believe the member of public, I believe the groomer’ this is completely wrong, it condones the groomers actions and why exactly would a member of the public stop, complain and wait for the dog owner if nothing went on? This should of happened, there should be processes in place and there should be an investigation. A dog was mistreated and in a professional service environment . Utterly disgusted and awaiting response from watchdog, CEO and dog grooming association.
Fantastic, friendly service - our labrador pup was returned looking, feeling and smelling amazing! The cute bandana was the perfect finishing touch, will be booking in regularly in future!
Despite advising that my dog can be a bit reactive and is nervous, I got the feeling they gave up on him and tried to rush. I got a still damp dog kinda thrown at me, no collar on and visibly stressed and when we got home we noticed bruises/skin pinches starting round the underside of his hips. Lesson learnt for me though that a commercial groomer isn't right for us, even though he's been to one before and was fine.
Once again TGR did great job of making our nervous Collie clean and Bootiful. Girls are fab and we wouldn't leave her with anyone else.
