I went a couple of years ago, had been before and put up with lurid comments about the noises i made when the tattooing got painful. I had a tattoo on my hand which turned out to be an abdolute mess.. am now paying to have it removed, which is costly, painful and will scar.. i went back the same day to complain as i was furious and distressed and got told that i 'couldn't expect it to be perfect'... wish you had said that BEFORE i paid you £150... wont ever go back
Have been getting tattooed by Mick for almost 15 years and ill never get inked by anyone else! Mick is passionate about what he does and the final result is always better than expected. You are always guaranteed a good time at Shades of Grey purely because Mick I such a character! I highly recommend.
Booked in for 2 memorial tattoos. Was greeted by Mick, went inside and chatted whilst he organised the shop. Downloaded a picture of what we thought would be good for the first tattoo which was a fishing lure. This was drawn on to my wrist in Biro. Took about an hour for that one. Whilst I went outside for a smoke Mick printed off a picture of an old school sun microphone and made the stencil the correct size. Took about 2 1/2 hrs in total for this one to be completed. Mick was pleasant & professional throughout my booking, the customers health & safety always come first in a tattoo studio! We chatted & joked about all kinds of things until I left. I will definitely be back to see Mick at Shades of Gray in future when I want more tattoos.
