I sought Mary out for counselling when I was finding life too tough to process and had been shutting down my emotions as I was too afraid to deal with them. I wasn't expecting her to be able to help as much as she did. She gently helped me unpick past and present situations to understand them better, process them and then together work out how to cope. She also mentored me with great wisdom through ministry roles after. She has helped me through periods of depression and anxiety like symptoms. The techniques and truths we talked through are still a great help to me today.
