   It’s with a heavy heart that Im posting this review, my beautiful Sidney the border terrier has been visiting this dog groomer for the last 10 years to be hand stripped. I picked him up last week to be told he has been scratching the back of his neck he went in with a lions mane and came out with this, he had a vets visit a couple of days later that were concerned about his hair loss as no dog can scratch this area

   Has a sign saying grooming for all dog breads, called as mentioned have a German shepherd and weigh 30kg and was told his to big what’s the point of putting a sign saying all dogs breads edit for owner response: No star system is to review a business which clearly I have done and also if you think this is complaining maybe.... just maybe remove the big sign saying for all dog breeds!!! glad never took my dog to this guy all ive heard is bad reviews after another about this place. im suprised this place is still running with such a bad owner at this point just resign

   Took our dog here and won’t be returning. When booking I advised that Teddy was a rescue and was told that was fine. The man I spoke to on the phone when booking was rude and passed the phone over to I’m assuming Paula. My partner took Teddy today, and on arrival Paula was lovely but the bloke was very dismissive. When my partner dropped him off we said we were having car issues so might not be able to pick him up straight away to which the male said yeah that’s fine. We later got a phone call to say we needed to pick him as he was nearly finished his groom, my partner said that’s fine I’ll be there when I can but as already stated ahead had an appointment he couldn’t miss, the man on the phone was very dismissive and said “well he’s been barking the whole time”, I wouldn’t have imagined this as problem as I would never expect a phone call from a nursery to say I needed to pick my child if they had been crying the whole time. We then made arrangements to get Teddy picked up and the man was rude to my father in law who picked him up but noticeably more friendly to another client. Asked for a trim and tidy up and we’ve got a patchy dog. His face trim is uneven, his body doesn’t seem to have been trimmed except one small patch on his back. Since being home Teddy has been very clingy and noticeable unsettled. Overall not impressed with the customer service or service we received. Edit: he still has tats between his toes, so many uneven bits! Pics attached!!

   Been going to Barkers now with my Bichon for 9 plus years Although there are groomers closer to where I live and I’m in my late seventies I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Always come away extremely happy with the results and just can’t praise Barkers enough. My dog skips in when I take her. Lovely clean place !!!

   Worst experience ever i do not recommend!! Left my dog for grooming and bathing.. They called me 20 min later to pick her up with a very mean tone and had a go at me. Told me that they just washed her didn’t even dry her, she was wet and frightened. My dog is harmless.. they said she was biting when she is harmless near a kid. They wanted me to pay for the wash. And take her away. Which doesn’t make sense as she should get groomed first then washed. I left without any words. It was the meanest custom Service i have experience. So ITS A BIG NO FOR ME!

   My husband , took in this morning, for the first time here our 8yr old staffie & our 8 mth old puggle . They were both showered , shampooed & blow dried. We are over the moon with the service, from start to finish . They were very friendly & lovely with our dogs, they put them both at ease . Both our dogs look very clean & smell gorgeous now . The bow they came out with on them , was a lovely touch too . We highly recommend Barkers & we wouldn't go anywhere else now . Thank you so much guys
