Lost count of the amount of times my partner and I have been here. Different times of year give different vibes, and non of them disappoint. I think today's visits we were a couple of weeks late for the prime autumn time visit, but was still a lovely walk around exploring familiar grounds. Enjoyed a hot drink and cake in the tea room also afterwards, where the fire was roaring, which was lovely.

Beautiful gardens. Worth a visit. The ticket price is great considering the walking distance, at only £13. To see everything, I suggest reserving about 3 hours. I'll definitely be back. Highly recommend.

In September it is worth going just for the dahlias. The gardens are remarkable , full of interesting areas, nooks and crannies, spectacular trees, floral displays. Be sure to spend time reading the information provided around the grounds which gives you an insight into what a remarkable endeavour the garden was, and the beliefs and motivations giving rise to them. There are various ways around the gardens. A relaxing experience. You will come away with vivid memories...not least the Chinese pagoda.

Lovely spot that is full of fun, house is private except for the cafe and book shop and there is a cafe that overlooks the garden if you just want a drink. About 2 hours to comfortably take it in.

Lovely garden with lots of secret places to come across. Mainly tulips and Azaleas at this time of year but we'll worth coming back in summer to see the fabulous herbaceous borders in all their glory. Nice little cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. There are stone steps up to the cafe and that's where the toilets are located. Gets very busy at peak lunch time. There are also lots of steps within the garden.

This was a real find for us, we couldn't get into the National Trust gardens with our dog and so went to the Country Park. We (particularly our dog) loved the Himalayan Walk, the lake and park land. We will certainly be returning as it's well worth a visit.

It's such a lush park. Kept beautifully. No litter and perfect for dogs. Went in the heatwave early and it's so cool under the trees in the shade. Perfect for doggies and nice family walks

An absolutely beautiful place to visit with plenty of nooks and crannies for children to explore. The wooden adventure trail and the second hand book shop really adds to the experience and the cafe serves up a great cup of coffee and good food. Would highly recommend a visit.

Good walking paths, wear good quality walking boots as it can be a bit muddy during wet weather. Good for dog walks as well. Lovely family walks. Looking forward to discovering more of the paths over time. Has good parking spaces. There's also a cafe. Lovely for pictures. If going after 3 at winter time take a flashlight as the sun sets it'll get dark and you may need it if you stay up to 5pm onwards.
